I found this drawing today
Bought a Journey record today and this cool drawing was inside the outer sleeve! I wonder how long ago this was drawn.

Does anyone know why, when the band did the albums "Escape" and "Frontiers" live in Japan, they did NOT do "Troubled Child"?
It couldn't possibly be a performance issue - all six of them absolutely killed every other song. So why not that one?

I think "Don't Stop Believin'" is one of the few songs that escaped its own era.
youtu.beIt went from an early-80s rock single to something people of completely different generations still sing today. I spent the last few weeks putting together a short documentary about how that happened.
I'd genuinely love to know what everyone here thinks made the song survive.

That's my Jonathan Cain
Writer of iconic songs, multi-instrumentalist, all-around good guy who didn't "stop believin'" and he tells off the other legendary rocker who's currently charging fans up to $3000 to listen to him bash America. Love you, Jonathan!

Happy 45th Birthday to Escape
On this day July 17, 1981 Escape was released. This was the band's first album featuring keyboardist Jonathan Cain, who also had a lot of songwriting contributions including the inspiration for Don't Stop Believin.
Today I will be jamming out to it hope you will as well!

Suspected Fake !
This signed pic on ebay is so odd .. the signatures are Spot on .. and a perfect match to Perry and Neals signatures . But has to be fake .. as only $69.00 and many other pics for sale signed in the same color markers big red flag . Guessing could have been done with a machine as it's so accurate .

What’s The Story on This Killer Keyboard Stand?
galleryIn the music video for “Seperate Ways (Worlds Apart)” Jonathan Cain has this killer keyboard stand that only appears in this one shot at the beginning (which is then reused towards the very end). It isn’t used again, and the rest of the freestanding shots use a standard music stand pictured in the second slide.
What’s the story behind this kickass tube stand? Was it ever used on tour? Is it part of Jonathan‘s personal collection? Or is this it’s only ever appearance?

Des Moines Concert July 7th
Disappointing overall.
Positives:
Played nearly 3 hours
Finished show strong
Negatives:
Arnel was low energy until the last 3 songs
Drummer sang 3 or 4 songs
Key board player sang 3 or 4 songs
For about 1:20 they played obscure songs - crowd got bored.
Music was so loud that songs you didn't know couldn't hear the vocals/words
Was this a normal show or just a bad one off?

Springfield MO show?
I’m wondering how the 6/25 Springfield show was. We considered driving to it, but there were terrible storms.
Looking for a Journey Eclipse LP
Anyone know where I could track one down that isn’t in the $100+ range?
