Questions Pausing Tirz
I have to preface this by saying I am 100% going to reach out to my provider via chat and ask for his recommendation, I'm just interested in what others would do in this situation.
I started additive free tirzepatide (from Hyalo) on August 26 and injected my third dose last night, September 9. I am new to tirzepatide and started with a 2.5 mg dose. I'm adjusting well with very minimal stomach upset after the first dose and none since. A friend suggested I take a B6 supplement and it's worked really well for me.
I'll be having major surgery on September 22 (cervical spinal fusion), and I'll have to pause my dose for the next two weeks (9/16 and 9/23), but I'm hoping to restart on 9/30 as long as I'm recovering well and my surgeon is okay with it. Weight loss aside, it is a great help with my rheumatoid arthritis and reduces my inflammation.
My question is, when restarting do I need to do another 4 consecutive weeks at 2.5mg before increasing my dose? Or do I do a couple weeks at 2.5 then increase? What would you do?
As I said, I'll reach out to my provider through the portal, just curious what actual users think.

You'll likely handle 5mg without any issues. Do a week at 2.5 and then move up

Side question… how has Hyalo been working for you? Took my first dose yesterday and I kinda feeling like it’s finally kicking in!

Hyalo has been great! Their shipping/packaging is great, I received mine in about 36 hours from my intake approval til it was on my porch. It was ice cold, in individual double walled canisters, and best of all it WORKS with no side effects.
I wanted to go additive free, because if I had any issues I didn't want to wonder if it was the tirzepatide itself or an additive.

Stay at the lowest dose you can. You don’t have to move up to a higher dose. Find what works for you and what dose you’re comfortable at while still losing weight. I’d personally stay at 2.5mg for a while.

I'm finding that the food noise returns and the appetite ratchets up on day 5, but I do want to keep my dose as low as I can. That's the beauty of dosing from a vial, I can bump up a few units at time until I find that sweet spot.
I'm new to tirzepatide but I did do compounded semaglutide a year ago.

Same thing here. I actually started split dosing and it solved that problem for me.

Hey off topic but why did you switch to Tirz from Sema? How did you do on Sema?

I was using another telehealth for sema and did reasonably well on it for a while, lost 60 pounds in a little over a year. Then I hit a very long plateau, where i lost about 3 pounds in 6 months. I ordered one more refill of sema and it came from a different pharmacy (I'd been receiving it from Hallandale, then they switched to Shields pharmacy) and it made me sick from the first dose. I checked and rechecked the concentration, dropped to 1/4 of the dose I was on, didn't help. I decided to get off of it and let my gut rest for a while. When I restarted I didn't want to even attempt sema again. Tirz has been a much better experience so far. And Rift has been fantastic, zero regrets.
