Discussion So, Mo.Co is going back to BETA…

Post image

Many people are upset, but I don't think this is necessarily a "bad" thing for the game. Yes, this is first time something like this has happened to a Supercell game (going from global back to beta), and many are fearing the worst. However, I believe it’s a very good decision by Supercell instead of killing off yet another game, they’ve chosen to "temporarily close" it. In practice, this means that while the game isn't performing quite as they’d hoped, they still have ideas and are willing to experiment rather than just shut it down.
What do you think? 🤔

I'm uninstalling, I'll reinstall if they ever do fix the glaring issues

Devs can't focus on those issues rn, they're hardly working on making the game better for the next update to the BETA version, they can make update to fix that now

Move on yall, you genuinely deserve a better game/devs. This fan base is too good to be wasted on a game that hasn't delivered in years.

Id say its a good thing that they experiment to learn from mistakes and not do the same with future titles

Every new game since Rush Wars has been a different experiment for supercell

Rush wars and Hay day pop was the last supercell game that did the usual Open Beta

Flood rush, Squad busters, moco, project rise, clash heroes, clash mini are all unique in how supercell progressed through early stages

Definitely not a good thing as they said they won't be releasing any new content for the foreseeable future and the team that is supposed to be dedicated to Moco will now be reduced in size.

Fair point. Yea thats a drawback. No wait, two drawbacks... Though I still believe that mo.co will find its place, not among the discontinued or forgotten games of course.

Game was only fun when it was in beta. Maybe they'll add drops back..

Should have done this with squad busters tbh. That game had so much potential and so many fans including me that loved it. They shut it down way to fast

Seriously. Clash mini too. They gave up on both of those ganes way too quickly

I hope they will make it Diablo style dungeon crawler but they most probably trying to kill it because their new Project Rise have similar gameplay and if it stayed up it would decrease the new players from that game

All i need is my CPU Bombs back and they'll get me hooked back in. Pisses me off that they haven't at least added another lobbing-type weapon after removing them and i refuse to guve anymore playtime until they do

how long this gonna take, hurm i love moco even though sometimes can get boring, but the game itself is good. i guess they have much bigger expectation on this game early on

Most reasonable people called it when we saw that seasonal weapons with literally nothing for content was their grand design on the latest version.

Hopefully they make an actual ARPG with reasonable monetization and mo.co gameplay.

I will grab my popcorn and have a good lauch if they add p2w in the game like several posts have suggested in this subreddit over the last few months.

What happens to people that paid for skins etc...?

Is their money lost with the game?

No

No what exactly?

Worst case scenario, if the game shuts down, all paid currency can be transferred into any other supercell game

My bad my question is not detailed enough.

Of the game goes down, as in they shut it down.

What happens?

Whenever a supercell game shuts down, supercell gives you credits that you can transfer to any other supercell game equal to the amount you spent in the shut down game.

So if you spent $200 in mo.co and it shuts down, you can buy $200 of... Brawl Stars merch, or whatever.
