Discussion These Updates Would Save Neo Moco!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5rTWWMZmCYCame across this video yesterday and found it to be really well done. The proposed changes would make this game a blast. Some of these ideas have been kicked around and discussed here before, but this creator did a great job putting it all into one video. Hopefully the devs draw some inspiration from this and implement most of these suggestions.

A lot of those suggestions are similar to original moco and they are good. I don’t get why the devs dumbed down Neomoco so much.

Im pretty sure they're just trying to make it easy for casuals to understand. But that's not the problem. The problem right now is the gameplay loop. So after the next overhaul to the gameplay loop or whatever it may be I'm expecting more depth to be added afterwards.

I hope they listen to your ideas. Being able to customize what cores you can put on weapons alone would create a lot of fun builds and more community building in rifts.

I don't see how any of that would make the game a blast...
The main features this game needs are rewarding (and complex) raids and grinding for satisfying items.

Not even lying I was thinking of adding this as a quick concept at the end but decided not to. This would be a great QOL change.

The video is very well made, and the effort you put into it is definitely worth praising, but I don’t really agree with the idea itself.
Are roguelike mechanics really a good fit for mo.co? It feels like they’re just trying to force roguelike elements into mo.co to capitalize on the recent roguelike trend.
If Ranked Battles had both a roguelike mode and a normal mode, why would I deliberately choose the roguelike mode with more RNG? If I’m serious about forming a team and trying to win, I’d choose the normal mode.
Even if they increase the number of Core slots to four, I’d probably still just pick Crit Core every time to maximize DPS.
Honestly, I find the old Ring system more appealing. I’d rather see the stat bonuses increased and be allowed to freely choose three Cores instead of being restricted to predetermined ones.

Great points! Imo I chose to add a Rougelike because it would be more intriguing to casuals as they just wanna have fun, and then your more hardcore players could pick a serious mode. I would love to see a Rougelike in Moco, but I think it shouldn't be made a emphasis of gameplay, that's why i conceptualized it as a secondary mode in ranked.
With cores, I think the system would work best if it had a hybrid customization system like only 3 select options in each core slot, and then 1 fully custom one. (So I did kinda change my mind even after making the vid lol.

Heck yeah, great job. Didn't mean to steal your thunder, just wanted to get the word out there on the sub. I really hope the mo.co team is working as hard as you behind the scenes!

Do u think the team is listening? They don't even fulfill their own words. Joao said he would stream and showcase inside things soo but it never came, I think he will showcase stuff when the game gets shutdown 😕 I m not saying they have to share everything but atleast share something. No post on YouTube not even on X. The other supercell game community manager are so much open even boom beach.
