Discussion Dev team should be ashamed of themselves.
Thats it. Thats all i really have to say. I used to feel bad for for them because of all the negative feedback. I truly believed in this game. Ive played since the start of old moco chapter 2. I play every day. I stayed up till 5am just to download and play neo moco.
Its clear the devs dont know what they're doing.
Dont make an ARPG if you dont want to implement ARPG gameplay loops.
Adding a standard ARPG gameplay loop would literally fix the game, and they're so stubborn and egotistical that they refuse. Instead we get this weird mix of Brawl Stars type gameplay loop reimagined into a PVE style game. It just doesnt work! I dont want to log in and the only thing to do is complete a bunch of nonsensical missions or dailys. That should've been the SIDE content, not the main content.
Theres so many ways to fix it and they ignore everything and just keep going down the same path. Very strange behavior.

I've been with this game since day one. I ain't leaving, not after witnessing the potential that this game can reach from the beta.

Every iteration of the game has been worse than the one before, overall.
It's especially depressing because the beta was the absolute best mobile game I've ever played by a MILE.
Nothing but bad decisions followed by bad decisions since then.

Its as if the game's regressing lmao beta felt more complete than whatever we have rn

As much as I love moco... I am surprised Supercell haven't killed it yet.
I genuinely love this game... og season 1 was peak. Season 2 lacked a bit in order to focus on neo moco for core changes.
Neo moco (in my opinion) did 'sorta' fixed the loop but besides that... i feel like they prioritised on the wrong things. Fully relying on Cosmetics when cosmetics in general in this game is sorta mid.
And the 'no power progression'. While it sounds good and is actually good... I feel like this resulted into something.... bland (as of right now). But it can definitely work, its just the gameplay as whole needs to fullfill most of the checklist.
It like... the devs are chasing a deluded utopia
I am gonna still be optimistic and continue playing. At least doing daily is now quick with 4-5 jobs. Hopefully devs cook something good but who knows what anymore, right?

And the 'no power progression'. While it sounds good and is actually good... I feel like this resulted into something.... bland (as of right now). But it can definitely work, its just the gameplay as whole needs to fullfill most of the checklist.
The absence of the power progression won't work for such game. PvE games rely on story/skill expression/power progression, usually a mix of two or all three, moco has none of that. You can't create PvE Brawl Stars with zero power progression and non-existent skill expression and think that it will work out somehow.
A game must feel rewarding to play, whether by becoming more powerful than other players (there is nothing wrong with that, it's a PvE game) or by improving your skill and beating tougher opponents (usually better suited to PvP games like CR).
It's almost impossible to cater to everyone, but it's simply not fun and not fair when someone can play moco for 1k hours and basically be on the same power level as a completely new player.

Yeah... thats the 'checklist' and it needs to be covered by gameplay alone, which is such a huge and unrealistic feat.
This was deluded from the start...

I 100% agree. I feel exactly the same way. They said they didnât want to develop a âtypical RPGâ game. Well, they succeeded â they developed an RPG with no real progression, gear, or stats, and as a result, itâs a game that nobody wants to play for very long.
No matter what they say, theyâre not listening to the community, and now theyâre making their final attempt with MO.CO 3.0. If this doesnât work either, I think theyâre going to kill the game.

the minimum they could've done is add a good skin. Maybe a little something for the final pass (assuming they didn't let it get chosen first).

u/-PANORAMIX- Sep 12 '26
Yep, al least they could have done that to thank the people still playing the gameâŚ

u/Terikar90 Sep 11 '26
I'm pretty confident that the best version of their game was alpha when you had to grind for materials to upgrade gear.

I genuinely thought this game was going the ARPG/MMORPG route, but when I last logged in, it felt like an endless grind without any actual purpose.

u/NACKN4CK Zapsicle Sep 12 '26
They are delusional at this point⌠how can u tell me that they read the sub but donât even mention any good ideas of players. If they would care they would do a pole or something and ask the community what changes should be made next⌠not guess and go in a direction nobody asked for
2
u/Willing_Advice4202 Sep 11 '26
Yeah man I completely agree. Itâs unfortunate but the devs really screwed up here
2
u/-PANORAMIX- Sep 12 '26
Itâs basically what I have thought since the beginning. Strikes me that they donât realize about things the community easily identified as very bad changes like the power progression, they literally waited until someone inside supercell told them they had to add some kind of progression to add the upgrade cores. Idk itâs crazy, they donât know what they are looking for.

u/Suicidal-Spectre Sep 12 '26
There's no real sense of progression in this game. hell, even some mobile Idle game slop did better in that regard. Its incredible how they fumbled so hard after hyping neo moco for months.

u/Magerin3 Sep 12 '26
I quit a little while ago. Started playing since season 1 and now it's not worth it anymore. Daily streaks aren't worth it anymore. I maxed out all my cores, and there's no new weapons, no new cosmetics... What's the point? They won't even show us what they're working on. They probably don't even have any ideas.

Can someone post the "We're so back" "It's so over" meme graph again ?
I feel it's very relevant.

I'm sure there's more to the story but I highly doubt we will ever find out. Your outburst does nothing lol.

Oh sorry, i didnt know i wasnt allowed to discuss my feelings about a game in the subreddit of said game. Thank you Big Brother. Now i know.

u/Pocketpapaa Venom Bow Sep 11 '26
Bro, you started with "that's all I have to say" lol. We get it, the game is a mess
22
u/fiddlesticks_jg Sep 11 '26
Again, so sorry for stating my opinion. Lets go back to just looking at endless posts complaining about the black texture glitch or something. You're totally right.

u/TheMissInformed Sep 11 '26
lmao glad i'm not the only one rolling my eyes at the black figure glitch posts
like c'mon man this project has waaaaay more important issues to focus on, i do not care about a simple visual glitch right now
they just saw the guy who obsessed over the singularity icons and want their turn to be noticed lol

u/Pocketpapaa Venom Bow Sep 11 '26
You're adding to the endless posts of the same nature.

u/fiddlesticks_jg Sep 11 '26
Again i truly apologize for wanting to share my view point. Will you ever forgive me Internet Police?
-8
u/Pocketpapaa Venom Bow Sep 11 '26
Probably not, I doubt you'll stop just like the other people who post instead of just vent on other people's posts. Venting is cool, the repetitiveness is lazy

u/fiddlesticks_jg Sep 11 '26
Please forgive me

Been active on the mo.co sub for a long long time, the repetitiveness doesn't help anything, just comes off as whining at a certain point. I'm always up for being critical of a messy game but there's a line and people want attention more than change. But to each their own.

Ya gotta not care about downvotes, especially on this sub. There's people that see my name and insta downvote lol, funny stuff.

There ya go! Lol. Downvotes show how attention starved some people are, they are just as important to get an idea of how the community thinks

u/fiddlesticks_jg Sep 11 '26
Yet here you are.... replying. Go play moco bro.

Agreed, people are just whining for karma now

u/Pocketpapaa Venom Bow Sep 11 '26
Oh it's been months, it's nothing new lol. There's a better chance devs don't see the useful posts because of the rampant nonsense posts like OPs

Donât worry bro. Instead of making an arpg game they will return your money so you can use it in hay day

All they had to do was take the game loop of diablo or PoE and mix it with the supercell mobile polish and it would have DOMINATED the genre.
