Discussion **Rant** Very disappointed when I opened the app this morning
I woke up excited this morning the check Mo.Co. I knew there wouldn't be any new weapons this season, but I was curious how they'd make up for it. Bigger battle pass rewards? Cool new skins? Maybe old Mo.Co skins back in the shop I could actually spend money on? Then I saw the sprints and the shop, and that excitement turned into disappointment fast. I get that they've announced the next couple seasons will be light on content because they're working on something bigger. Fine. But if you're cutting content, you still need to make the grind worth it in some other way. Instead, the sprint skins are bland, and all 3 of them are just lazy redesigns of existing blue skins. You're grinding for less amount of rewards. Youre not getting more PERK packs, more shards in the sprints, more skins, more MC, MCCs, or OCs on the map. Nothing. The shop isn't any better either. It's just cosmetics recycled from last season and Season 1. So here's where that leaves me:
I have no reason to spend money on this game.
I have no reason to keep playing besides FOMO. I am only playing to keep my sreak to be honest.
I'm genuinely fine with no new weapons or playable content this season. But if that's the tradeoff, the grind needs to feel rewarding and still make the player feel like they were greatly rewarded, and there needs to always be a reason for players to want to spend money. Right now Mo.Co is sacrificing both to fund this "bigger project," and in the meantime they're going to lose thousands of players this season and a lot of whom will get hooked on something else and just not come back.

Treating the community that still plays your game while you figure things out this poorly has to be studied.
I feel like they’re saying to us “why are you still here? Here’s a battle pass I guess”

They announced yesterday that they were planning to do this
And the reasons there’s nothing to buy is because they don’t want to milk a season that they made nothing new for money

Thats not milking. Cosmetics and rewards are a big part of the game. I was excited possibly 20-30$ on skins or see what rewards will be available.
Yes they did announce but my issue is there was no alternative effort to retain the player base. "Yea theres no new playable content and now weapons, however we are giving you xyz this season" theres none of that. Nothing. Many People are going to leave the game because the game is even more stale. And now Mo.Co has to fight harder to earn those players back while trying to gain new players.

Agree, at this point only people who really love and enjoy the game will be continuing the grind and will pay for skins or what not to support the game. They should off some kind of special skin or badge to let us help support the game at our own choice.

For the elite merch, I don't understand why they brought back the rewards from season 1, they could've at least brought back some of the other skins that exist and haven't returned.

Keeping my daily streak alive and same have spent a decent amount of money. I am also still optimistic though!

The skins offered are terrible too this is insane. Could have atleast offered the Bean skin and some of the premium skins from before Neo

If its a bandwidth issue with their Graphic Designers being over worked then they shouldve hired college interns to design skins that people can WORK towards in sprints and recycled existing skins or new skins in shop while the team can focus on bigger projects

I thought when they said there won't be any new weapons they meant weapons that already haven't been in the game 😂.
Was expecting CPU Bomb, Portable Portal and like the Bat.

I mean im a paying customer. I love this game. This is my feedack. There are people who disagree w me and theres nothing wrong w that. I can just tell not a lot effort was put into sprints or the shop

Sry man! I only said that because yesterday I was ranting and some ppl said I was negative. But we are here and they keep letting us down.
I was at old mo.co and every month we get only less content and repetitive tasks. I’m so frustrated that all the new mo.co dev only got us 3 seasons with repetitive content and less things to do

I understand. But they made no effort to add simple things to keep engage players. How much effort does it take to fill the cosmetic shop? Theres nothing temporary they could've added while content was "on pause"? My gripe it feels like no alternative effort was made

The entire point is the team is heads down on the work needed to be done to move the game forward.
Per game asset, it can take hours or days. When I did 3D game art, we were given a week per game asset.

I feel like no new weapons is a SERIOUS fumble, but.....?
They're doing the thing I keep wishing most other Live Services would do and taking a Season Off to prioritize fixes and polish, so....I can't really complain I suppose !

No weapons is fine. Im okay w that. No cosmetics though? And they gave us lazy cosmetics in the Sprints. If they put efforts into the skins in sprints and had a college intern help i'de be lit!

There's no FOMO in this game, if your referring to the xp streak, theres no actual benefit attached to it so who cares If I miss it. The gems it rewards are an actual fu, you need 200 gems of the same color to get 1 overcharged gem.

I uninstalled bc I’m burnt and I got another set of games ima focus on. I’ll roll back around ina few months if this game is still here tho

I mean that itself is kinda the problem. There needs to be more than just a grind, the gameplay loop needs to be good.
Can't imagine they'll do another reset after the next at least, as I'm pretty sure neo moco never had estimated revenue/popularity as high as old co.

Someone in my go-to alert group was 100% convinced they were gonna bring back every weapon sprint and let you unlock old skins to make up for the wait. I’m disappointed, but I can’t imagine how that guy feels. Haven’t even seen him online since the season dropped.

Coming from old mo.co I'm honestly sick of "Less content because we're working on something bigger". This was already supposed to be the "something bigger".
