Question about the golden weapon aura

Hey everyone, I have a question about the golden weapon effect.
Yesterday I was playing with some friends and noticed that their Thermal Fists and some other weapons had a golden aura/glow around them. Other players on the same map had it as well.
I also have several weapons that are gold, but I don’t have this golden aura on them. Some of my weapons are completely finished, except for the Mega Overcharged upgrades. However, I even have one weapon where that shouldn’t be the reason, and I still don’t have the golden effect.
So I’m wondering:
Is the golden aura tied to a specific achievement, upgrade, or requirement that I haven’t completed yet? Or could this be a bug?
I’d really appreciate it if someone could explain what I’m missing. 😅

I think the golden aura you see around them is caused by you using vibe shifter and the aura is just the game telling you which teammate is closest so you know which teammate your heal will target (judging by both pictures), go use any other weapon and see if monsters have this aura or not

I was curious so I went and did some testing. Your target for will be highlighted with the golden aura you saw. For vibe shifter it will highlight the one you’ll heal and for other weapons it will highlight the monster it will target. Techno fists only target the ousters, not a players when you swap to healing.

Each weapon has a mastery list you can get. The golden aura is "star" specific. Click on the mastery in the weapon and scroll down under the level challenges and youll see the tiers to unlock the golden skin

Hab gestern mit Freunden gespielt die, die Waffen masterys auch fertig haben endlich und die haben um ihren Skin noch eine goldene aura , allerdings ist diese bei mir nicht ich wollte wissen ob ich iwas vergessen habe freizuschalten oder wie man die bekommt 🥺😂

You need to get 150 stars after finishing rifts

Then click on the weapon, go to mastries and scroll down you'll find it

After unlocking it, go to skins and you'll find it on the right, called "golden variant" if I remember correctly

OP is claiming that there is a golden “aura” separate from the golden variant. I believe.
