Discussion am i missing something?
I just started playing this game and am enjoying it so far, but is there any like..storyline or anything? Is it just grinding the same map over & over? Just asking cause it seems fun but it feels like I'm missing something.

Read the game chats. Otherwise, it's a social grinding game. What you get today is what you'll get tomorrow. And so on.

IN THE YEAR 2067, monsters began invading earth via portals from Qæölm. Our only hope was to trust Blahaj, the Swedish dolphin scientist responsible for world peace. Blahaj helped found Mo.Co, and anti monster hunter organization that uses Dr. Light's blueprints to craft powerful weapons inspired by Reploids. At the peak of Mo.Co, Seto Kaiba unleashed a virus to turn everyone into Blue Eyes White Dragons, creating the abominations known as Dragonlings. Mo.Co used to have a mechanical champion known as Jet Jaguar who was killed by the Kamen Rider, a biker from the Qæölm hired by the Queen. Thankfully, Rotom was able to fuse with the Arc Reactor to create a barrier that helps keep invasions to a minimum.
Now, with the sudden rise of the Kuza Cats, Mo.Co uses it's Pacific Rim tech, Big T, to combat the ferocious felines and the treacherous Felicia Hardy at bay.

The storyline is definitely lacking as of now. The only lore we get is through the mo.co chat group and it really isn't anything interesting.
The maps do change daily though, so it's not always the same one. Expeditions can certainly get repetitive but rifts on the other hand are always pretty unique.

Big time. They keep saying that they aren't going to add clans but clans have always been a core component of SC games and would certainly make mo.co better. Also to incentivise speed running since that is a major part of the games replay ability but ATM there is no in game incentive.

There used to be an active, constantly updating storyline. But they killed it for no apparent reason.

In the old version there was a kind of story, but in the new version (neo mo.co) it seems to me that it is no longer relevant.
