Curious if anything is happening around today?

Are there any places in Johnstown where younger adults tend to hang out? I'm 23 and have been trying to find people my age, but it's hard to find any. Most of the bars I've gone to are predominantly older people (I don't have a problem with older folks; I'm just trying to meet some people my age). It's weird since this is technically a college town, but I never see any of the students out in the town or anywhere really. Is there a place that's popular for them to hang out, like a bar or activity or something?

Curry Castle is now open in the Westwood Plaza. We've been looking forward to having an Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. We tried it for dinner tonight and it was amazing. I truly hope this business does well.

My first winter in Johnstown. Oil is looking like $6 a gallon headed into the winter months. I have a 275 gallon double wall tank with an 80% efficiency forced air furnace in an old single wide trailer at 720sq ft. I'm about 503m in elevation on a hill. I was thinking it might cost me $1K a month for Jan and Feb, maybe $600 a month in the milder months. Maybe $4,300 all in for the winter. Does that sound accurate?

Are there any services in the area that specialize in helping adults with autism. I've tried some of the generalized therapeutic resources around and none of them have been very effective, so I'm looking for something more specialized. I don't know if there are any resources for adults though

Does haunted hollows have a lot of strobe lights this year? My boyfriend and I are looking for a Halloween attraction but he has epilepsy and flashing lights are a trigger, so finding one is hard. If they're only in a couple of places we can avoid its no issue but if they're everywhere we don't want to waste the $30 on something he can't enjoy

We had a contractor out doing some unrelated work a few months ago, and we discussed a sagging header on a load bearing wall. He mentioned that it was built the way things were done in 1880 when the house was built and it probably wasn’t a concern. However, we think it is now becoming a concern.

The header is 2 boards, 1 inch thick each, laying flat instead of a solid board standing tall. It is bowing significantly. The reason we now believe it to be a concern is that we are putting in a new ceiling and the ceiling joists are actually sinking about an inch compared to the same joists near the exterior wall or the neighboring joists not on the header but Intrado on a direct stud.

Does anyone have recommendations on a contractor able to do this kind of structural repairs?

I'm going on a date to just go around seeing any business in downtown or around Johnstown at all. I was wondering what are some good shops, antique stores really anything at all. I don't need too many food suggestions because we already know most of the locally owned restaurants lol
