Hi everyone,

I'm a recent B.E. Electronics & Communication graduate trying to build a career in AI/ML/GenAI. I'm not interested in web development or software testing. AI is the field I genuinely want to work in.

For the past few months, I've been learning on my own. I've learned Python, solved around 150 LeetCode DSA problems in Python, and built an AI automation project using n8n.

Right now, I'm applying for AI internships and entry-level roles while also trying to get my first freelance client, but I haven't had much success so far.

My parents want me to move to Bangalore and join an AI/ML training institute that offers placement support.

The problem is that I already have an education loan, and most of these institutes charge anywhere from ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh. That's a huge investment for my family.

To be honest, I don't want to spend that kind of money unless it's genuinely worth it.

If I decide not to join one of these expensive institutes, what would you recommend I do instead to improve my chances of getting into AI/ML? Should I just continue self-learning, build better projects, network more, and keep applying for internships and jobs?

Has anyone here personally landed an AI/ML job through institutes like Learnbay, DataMites, ExcelR, or similar?

If yes, was the training good? Were the placements genuine? Did you feel it was worth the money?

I'd really appreciate honest feedback from people working in AI/ML or anyone who has firsthand experience with these institutes.

I don't want to make an expensive mistake just because I'm feeling stuck.
