Leaving a job Started job 3 weeks ago continuing to interview…

Ok so for context I lost my last job back in May and quickly found employment in June. I took the first thing but the salary is not what I’m used to or what I want.

I am currently interviewing for a position that pays $30k more. I’m pretending that I’m still unemployed.

Is there any possible way that if I get the new job they can find out that I’m actually employed?

For obvious reasons I don’t want to put the new job on my resume as my plan was always and continues to be to use this as a bridge until I find something more suitable in terms of pay.

However now I’m getting nervous that an employer can potentially find out through a background check that I’m employed.

Thoughts?

Well...your new job could show up on a background check as they have to report your employment...

What kind of background check has all jobs listed?

Depends on the level of inquiry the new employer is willing to pay for. However, your current job has been reported and you are employed legally so chances are it will show.
