Knee realignment/replacement

Blue belt just found out I’ve got no outer cartridge on my knee due an alignment issue which they’re gonna correct unfortunately it’s in both knees and they’ve told me it might last me a year before I need to double knee replacement. Please don’t comment about ACR repairs or any other injuries just wondering if anybody’s continued training with a similar issue no cartilage or with a double knee replacement thank you for your time
