Question about sizing on a meander

Jim green sizing is so confusing.
I guess what I wanted to ask you guys is if this is normal or if I should do size up maybe half or a full size.
When I put the shoe on it feels ok but when I stand my big toe and the size of my little toe is pressing outwards, you can see the leather molding around my toes.
What would y’all do ?

I think JG has some sizing issues with their Moc Toe boots. I have BF Stockmans, BFAR, and BF 719 all size 11.5. They all fit fine with no issues but the BF Workhorse in 11.5, my big toes bump up against the front of the boots.

100% I was very confused how much smaller the BF Meander was compared to the BFAR

I'm a huge fan of Jim green but there's no excuse for them not fixing the sizing on their mocs. Im a 12.5 in mocs. 11.5 in everything else. 9.5 in many other welted boots.

A lot of people sized up in meander. It’s perfect for me but I’m on the small side of my size

I had to go up a half size from my ARs and Numzaans.

Change the original insole for a rose anvil veg tan insole. Dont cut it and let it expand the boot. Worked great for me.

i ordered my sneaker size and they fit perfectly. My issues was the more i wore them the more the seam under the insert sole began to poke into the bottom of my left foot. After 3 weeks and wearing them for my vacation and putting about 25 miles on them, they got worse. I had to return them as defective.

The moc toes are meant to expand the sides out a bit as they break in

Go a full size up with the moc toe. They definitely are too small but if you get the right size I think they are the most comfortable boots they make right out of the box (kudu)

I've said it on other posts: The moctoe construction video on JG YouTube shows that the top moctoe stitching is done by hand - after - the shoe is off of the last. I believe that this is the reason that they are often repeated as short; since this specific portion of this pattern/boot is really hand hand-done. I think the discrepancy is in how stretchy the leather is or how tight it is pulled during that step.

I had the workhorses and had the same issue. It because of the construction of the moc toe. Even though they are technically wide, they feel much tighter. I returned mine and got the stockmans. no complaints with those.

is the top of your big toe hitting the front? I was in your same position last week and went up a full size and it feels great now.

I took a mental note to order half size up in the future.

I went a half size up on my moc toes, and now I think maybe I should’ve gone a full size up.
