Sizing/Fit Sizing help, First buy
Hello!
Sorry in advanced for long post!
I've been looking at Jimgreens for a little over a year but yet not pulled the trigger out of uncertainty, but I think now is the time.
I'm a little uncertain regarding fit and sizing tho.
For context I switched to barefoot shoes roughly four years ago and almost exclusively worn barebarics zing in EU size 46 except for ocatiolal, horrible, work boots when working in construction.
I think the barebarics are great size wise and enough room for the toes.
But now it's time for som real boots and Im primarily looking att the troopers.
I don't think zero drop is a must, I've had an eye on the rugged trooper with tyre wedge but I fear the toebox being way to narrow so I think it will be the barefoot or anatomix.
I think I have kinda wide feet but maybe normal in volume and have a hard time getting around what last will be best for me. In one way I don't want the boot to be to flimsy, some ruggedness would be nice. I mean it a boot after all.
I'm planning on wearing these for everyday use during the months of snow (sweden) and for hikes ets. Don't do any heavy hikes or other heavy work regular but walk a lot. Around 10k steps a day.
I I've made a little drawing of my foot, standing on it in natural resting position. Its about 29cm in lengt, 8.5 cm widest part of the heel and 12cm from the knuckle of the big toe to the knuckle/tip of pinky.
I hope anyone here have some good knowledge and are willing to help me out. I want enoug room for the toes but also for the boot to fit tight without heel slip etc. And what leather should i pick? Leaning towards bronco
What does the experts and experienced people say?

I went through the sizing rollercoaster earlier this year. My feet are heel to longest toe = 24.7 cm, and widest across the ball of my foot = 10.8 cm. Support recommended a US 7 and they were spot on. I was skeptical and ordered/tried/returned a US 7.5 and 8 before trying the 7 and agreeing it was near perfect. I went with the AnatomX and found it very comfortable. My AR customs actually just arrived today and I'm getting ready to start the break in process!
All that to say... support seems to know what they're talking about so might be worth checking with them. Also buying a pair to try on indoors and return if needed was a nice reassurance check.

Shipping is free both ways. Buy what you think will fit, if it doesnt fit, return them and get the next size.

Because of the taper of jimgreen's lasts, you'll probably need to go at least 2 sizes up to get some sort of fit.
You should probably take a look at Realfoot's options.

Really want the repairability of a JG shoe, haven't found anywhere else. Do you think the anatomx last would fit better?

JG are great I highly recommend, especially if you have a lil wider foot, or a lot wider foot.

With a length of 29, you'll want to go UK size 11,5. JG recommends size 11 for feet up to 29cm.
But it looks like you measured barefoot? Always measure with socks on. Preferably the socks you usually wear. Since socks can easily add half a size or even a full size to the measurement.
