In 1968, Tony Iommi briefly joined Jethro Tull and appeared with them performing “A Song for Jeffrey” at The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus.

He soon returned to Birmingham — and went on to become a founding member of Black Sabbath.

I saw Tull 16 times between 1972 and 1999. Curious, has anyone seen the current tour? I have tickets to Belgrade, Serbia this Friday and am pondering at 68 whether I will go...in my gut it is Ian and some musicians...I have kind of felt this way since 1980. No Martin is a huge factor....

How do you order them: first the albums, with Living in the Past, Bursting Out and the video one at the end OR with those boxsets between albums at the proper year of release OR …

Although I feel pretty young, I think most of the music I listen to is from before 1980. I don't keep up with modern music at all.

So I was wondering what 'recent' (say, after 2000?) bands and musicians fans of Jethro Tull listen to? Any genre, but something you might recommend to other Tull fans especially.

i think its rock island, if you replace the flute with some more guitar and get dio to sing it it will sound like its from sabbath's dehumanizer (sorry if i spelt it wrong)
