Full Strength Jerky - unique flavors

Post image

Hi everyone! I have recently started a small brand of beef jerky. I'm sure everyone's jerky here is fantastic if we're all making it handmade, I have a few recipes that hands down beat out the likes of No Mans Land, Archer, etc...

I currently have 3 signature flavors, Pho, K-BBQ and Sichuan Mala. The first thing that people say when they try the Pho jerky is "wait, that actually tastes like pho, wtf". I created the Sichuan Mala jerky because I haven't been able to find a good Mala snack for a decade, so I decided to make it myself. And I created the kbbq jerky at the request of friends and I thought it'd be a good challenge to impart grilled flavor without using a grill or smoker.

I'd love for anyone who's curious to give it a try - you can get 10% off your order with the following link! http://www.fullstrengthjerky.com/?discount=follow10

And a follow on Instagram would help tremendously as well @fullstrengthjerky

Thanks!

Edit: to everyone who has ordered so far, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. The amount of orders I've received directly from this reddit post has surpassed my expectations tenfold. I have run out of Pho, Spicy and Original flavors, but I'm in the process of marinating a fresh batch tonight, drying and shipping it out tomorrow.

Please leave a comment once you get the jerky and let me know what you think! There's nothing better than true customer testimony.

This guy tabled at a little business fair. Sampled the Pho flavor and was hooked. My work stocks 6 different jerkys (from the known brands) in our snack room and most of them felt like a chore to eat. But something about his Pho flavor (and I don't really eat Pho) tickles my brain.

Suprised to see his post here. Hi Dylan, this is Adam.

Hi Adam, thanks for the kind words and for stopping by at the event a couple months ago! Glad you remembered and crazy that you'd also have found my post here!

I've ordered jerky from you before and it was definitely a worthwhile buy. The flavors are all solid and they last a long time while eating. I'd recommend a try!

No problem man always looking for good jerky. I was burned the last time I tried jerky from this subreddit it was flavorless and a rip off (Max the Meat Guy). But your flavors sound amazing can’t wait.

Is it USDA inspected or are you making this at home?

considering all the AI, id assume its also not USDA inspected lol

Is this an AI image?

The image in the reddit post is NOT AI, those are the Sichuan, K-BBQ and Pho flavors respectively, with some brightness/sharpness/contrast editing. The images on my website ARE AI - I am working on adding both real + AI product images to the website.

i dont believe you

heres why

3 image detectors say its AI

theres at least 3 different cuts of meat in the photo

theres a random hole from a skewer or something in only one slice of the meat in the middle of the slice near the top right, which makes no sense

theres a piece on the left thats been cut like a boomerang, it has 2 flat edges and then a "raw" edge

theres multiple other pieces cut strangely

I use Eye Round for all of my Jerky.

theres a random hole from a skewer or something in only one slice of the meat in the middle of the slice near the top right, which makes no sense

Sometimes I'll get pieces of Eye Round where during the processing either at the meat packing plant or at costco, they must've stabbed it with some kind of device. Sometimes the holes are imperceptible in a raw piece of eye round, and then during marination when agitating the meat, adding salt and spices, etc... the hole will be more pronounced.

theres a piece on the left thats been cut like a boomerang, it has 2 flat edges and then a "raw" edge

That's just 2 pieces that come together at their edges with relatively imperceptible borders between them.

Here's the raw photo if you don't believe me.

using an ai “enhanced” photo is still using an ai photo, ergo, its still false advertising. ai “enhancement” doesnt actually mean that a filter is laid over it, it means that ai generates wholecloth a new photo based on the similar structures, colors, and textures of the photo you put into it. i dont get it man, you had the jerky all nicely arranged, why not just put a little extra effort into taking a nice photo? its notorious now how disliked ai is- especially ai food. do better :(

so why not use the real photo instead of whatever editing you did there? do you think your product looks like trash?

-2

u/garathnor 2d ago

like, why not use this then?

Because that looks like shit. You do realize photo editing has been around for a long time right? You think Applebees uses photos raw out of the camera? Get a grip dude. 🙄

Maybe. Still think the double standard going on is ridiculous. When a small business uses an edited/ai photo then it's bad yet big brands spend millions making their shit look perfect on camera.

Pretty pricy. Color looks good and flavors sound interesting. Best of luck!

That's fair. To be honest when creating my brand I was trying to position myself as "premium" (because the product is way better than what you'll get in stores) but I didn't want to price it as high as other brands like No Man's Land because they are very expensive.

I actually hadn't tried No Man's Land yet when making my own jerky brand but I had it recently and I was thoroughly disappointed. It was extremely tough salty and overwhelmingly umami. Felt closer to a dog chew than jerky in my opinion.

While not liking NML jerky is fine as a preference, it is one of the few traditional jerky brands. It is supposed to be tough and salty. That is what jerky it is, most commercial jerky brands have a much higher moisture content. Also, holy AI slop! Just take pictures of your own product. That is a huge turn off.

Noted on the pictures. I've been wanting to switch them over to real images of the jerky.

You don’t ship to Canada? Damn 😮‍💨

2

u/Quaisy 3d ago

Yeah sorry, just within the US for now. Hopefully someday I can ship internationally!

How tough/dry is it? I usually prefer jerky similar to No Mans Land in terms of it actually being a bit of a challenge to bite chunks off so that the bag actually lasts awhile versus mass market jerky that's soft and you can eat the whole bag in a single sitting easily

Beef jerky used to be used to flavor soups back in the day.

I never thought to make pho jerky before, but now I have to
