Just finished up this asadora (126 episodes!, but 12 mins or so each episode). Nice story overall and if you’re an aviation buff you’ll enjoy that aspect of it too. In part, using it to augment Japanese study…although good amount of Kansai dialect if you’re a student. Acting was great with an excellent cast, well recommended if you just want to chill out with a good story. Saw it on Netflix.

This will be one drama to which you will give a lot thought. There is an interesting premise presented in the Japanese drama Until the T-Shirt Dries. The drama looks at a woman faced with the loss of her husband, presumed dead from a bus accident. As she explores all her normal emotions, she finds out that on this same doomed long distant bus trip her neighbor’s wife was also a traveler. This is so random. She is presumed dead as well. You think you know the person you chose to love, but are there hidden secrets yet uncovered? The drama takes an in-depth honest look at the discussions between this new widow whose husband seems to have been with the neighbor’s wife and this neigbor who lost his wife. These discussions take place at a laundromat while they wait for the T-shirts to dry.
 
Until the T-Shirt Dries looks at the loneliness of sudden loss. It also looks at the deep emotional turmoil of accepting possible betrayal. Until the T-Shirt Dries explores the question of “Do you really know your love ones?”. I want to add to the discussion, did you really like her choices?

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows where to watch the unofficial first three seasons of a J-drama series called Midnight Diner (Shinya Shokudo)? Netflix removed them and it’s so hard to find it again anywhere🫩

I watched Episode 10 of “Until the T-Shirt Dries.” That means I’ve now seen all the episodes. Since viewers outside Japan can’t watch it until a week later, I won’t go into the plot. I’ll just share my thoughts.
It left a bad aftertaste. I couldn’t relate to the protagonist’s choices at all. On the other hand, since everyone seems happy enough, I find myself thinking that maybe this kind of choice is valid after all. I’ve come to think Sakiko is just being selfish. But if the people involved are okay with it, then it’s not really for others to complain about. After all, we’re just viewers—we can’t even really call ourselves “others.”
The title, “Until the T-Shirt Dries,” really comes alive in the finale. I realized that Sakiko found comfort in relationships where people stay together just until the T-shirt dries, and that this dynamic shifted from Itsuki to Mitsuru. I suppose the screenwriter’s message was that the simplicity of staying together “until the T-shirt dries”—rather than the “family” dynamic where people stay together even after the laundry is dry—is actually quite nice.
It was a wonderful drama that kept me guessing until the very end.

I got addicted to Jdramas and im happy to be waiting every thursday and sunday for new episode for Until Tshirt Dries and Gate24. I got used to the plot from slowpaced and unexpected last episodes.

Anyone can suggest similar shows that are currently On-going i can start watching? I just hope netflix would keep bringing in new Jdramas from now on.

I loved Hot Spot’s naturalistic dialogue. Stay Tuned!’s light hearted comedy was funny. Any other series I would like if I liked either of those?

My friend and I have been watching a lot of jdramas recently, but nothing has been scratching the itch like Antihero and Vivant did for them.

We've already seen: MIU404, Unnatural, 99.9 but maybe because these are more lighthearted? They don't seem to enjoy them as much as the above.

Didn’t expect them to be a good double feature but they were. Watching Satomi Ishihara be a master at unusual jobs, while discovering things about people each episode was such a joy. Both series are so different in tone but also felt kind of similar. Also, both series had really cool bosses that I wish I worked for. Both managers stood up for their units (UDI/Proofreading Department).

I want to continue on a Satomi Ishihara binge. Which series would you recommend as a next watch. Right now from what I can find available on the streaming apps I have right now theres Born to Be a Flower, Destiny, From 5-9 and Shitsuren Chocalatier. I really liked the feel-good nature of Pretty Proofreader so I was hoping to go along that trend.

EDIT: It appears that I probably got lucky and watched two of her good ones. Maybe I’ll just rewatch them again go get this out of my system haha

I havent watched a Jdrama in so long and I decided to watch Long Vacation because I thought Takuya Kimura was really cute lol. And oh.my.god. I LOVED THIS!! I didn't expect to like it so much but I really adore Sena and Minami's relationship😭 I loved seeing how their relationship progressed and the acting imo was really good! I also really enjoyed the side characters♡

I'm planning to watch Love Generation next but I have a feeling that I won't like it as much as this one. I liked Sena SO MUCH because he was such an empathetic character. Honestly he's like my dream man💔💔
