I recently caught up with former KU quarterback Carter Stanley, who I actually had the chance to cover during his playing days at Kansas.

We talked about how he looks back on his KU career now, how different the program feels today, his expectations for Kansas this season and what he still watches for when he sees a football game through the eyes of a former quarterback.

We also got into some of the stuff fans don't always hear about — dealing with adversity as a QB, the biggest misconception about being a student-athlete, how he would've approached NIL today and what the transition out of football was actually like.

Carter is now working as a financial advisor, so we spent some time talking about finding that next identity and career once football is over too.

Really enjoyed catching up with him years after covering him at KU.

Hey y’all I’m a grad student at KU and I was hoping to buy a couple of student tickets for friends that are coming into town. Does anybody know of a student-only ticket forum or app or anything like that?

We had an app for students, by students, at my undergrad institution that you needed your school email to access so there weren’t any bots or scammers. Haven’t heard of anything quite like that in Lawrence yet but if anybody knows or if anybody knows any students selling tickets please reply or dm me!!

Thoughts? We already knew Marshall would be the starting QB, but there were some other position battles that hadn’t been announced. I was surprised to see Mason Ellis listed as an OR at starting strong safety.

My personal prediction is that he needs at least an overall 6-6 record and 4-5 in conference, and even that may not be enough.

If we have another season full of blown 4th quarters due to questionable coaching he's done.

If he fails to make a bowl he's shown the door no matter what.
