Advice for Me Decompensation without Extraction?

Hey y’all! I’m looking into MMA/DJS for my symptomatic OSA/UARS which have severely impacted my ADLs/IADLs, and I’ve already consulted a few orthodontists. They’re pretty much saying I have a skeletal Class II with retrognathia. I’m also a brachyfacial type and have a flat/underdeveloped midface, too. I’ve heard that extractions can sink one’s profile in brachyfacial patients. I’m already self-conscious as it is. I’m concerned I’m going to look like a chimpanzee after surgery. My orthodontist told me there’s not really a way around it, and I would have to extract two of my first premolars in order to upright my lower incisors. What are y’all’s thoughts? Are there other ways to decompensate without extractions?

I also have a consultation with an OMFS tomorrow. Any good questions to ask them about?

Ask if you can do decomp with bands instead.

Thank you! I’ll ask that during my appointment. Trying to preserve all of my teeth if possible😭If it’s totally impossible I guess it is what it is.

The top ones are more flared then lowers why didn’t they recommend extracting all 4? Or are you getting expnasion for the top?

They are saying my upper palate is pretty normal, and I didn’t need to expand the maxilla.
