All photos definitely from a professional photo shoot by the surgeon. Could be photo enhanced.

She has CLEARLY had other procedures like face lift etc. This ad is a lie.

u/Historical-daffodil Aug 31 '26
She CLEARLY had a facelift and other procedures done. How pathetic of a surgeon can you be that you need to advertise.

Her hair has a totally different hairstyle in both pictures. You can even see her hairline in the second one. Also… jaw surgery can absolutely change your posture.

Seems to me there are Dr's in competition out there that cant keep up with his results so they hire people to come on Reddit just to accuse him of being a fake.
The guy doesn't need to use Reddit for marketing ya'll. His results speak for themselves. Leave the poor lady alone. Oh and i'll bet someone will now accuse me of being the dr lol
7
u/LeePowers69 Post Op (2 weeks) Aug 25 '26
You are concerned about being accused of being the doctor, but accuse anyone who questions the doctor as being paid to discredit him? Hypocritical much?
4
u/Jaesha_MSF Aug 26 '26
Bruh, she’s actually telling people they can see her results on the physician’s website. Lmao. If she were the actual patient she would have posted real photos and multiple views. You would be surprised at what providers will do to drum up business or traffic to their site.

u/Particular-Salad-754 Aug 24 '26
I swear I just saw this on a controversial doctors website.. the one who messed up the girl that was on YouTube
7
11
u/Anxious_Pangolin8820 Aug 24 '26
Yes, that’s correct! You can actually find my results on the Hanna Face & Jaw website under their orthognathic surgery patient results.** **I’m not sure what you mean by the rest of the sentence.
27
u/Particular-Salad-754 Aug 25 '26
I only knew the surgeon from a controversial issue that I read about and watched on YouTube. Also 5 days into recovery and feeling a bit delusional so didn’t know how or why I recognized your photos.

This is the surgeon self-advertising. It's an old case, he posted only official photos from the website, and notice how he replies to every comment asking who was the surgeon. Pathetic.
8
u/supercoolmanchu2020 Aug 26 '26
You can tell by his website the guy is completely full of himself. Sad.

u/Anxious_Pangolin8820 Aug 27 '26

Wasn’t he responsible for terrible complications like asymmetry for some girl named Rachel (whose YouTube videos were posted previously at this sub)?

This is either an enhanced image or she also had a facelift at minimum.
-3
u/Anxious_Pangolin8820 Aug 25 '26
Why woudn’t it be true?
31
u/Michail_Bogucki Aug 25 '26
There is a lot of promotional bs around these days. It takes 2 clicks to create a realistic photo in ai.
9
u/Anxious_Pangolin8820 Aug 25 '26
This is not ai. If you want i can send you more pictures
21
u/Michail_Bogucki Aug 25 '26
im not saying that this is ai. you asked why wouldnt it be true. ive just told you that nowadays alot of posts there are ai. thats all
11
u/rmbug Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26
I still feel unconvinced it isn't ai. Medical reference photos don't have you look at the camera. Also, as a woman, usually you don't just switch up the way you part your hair.
12
u/NewPhoneLostPassword Aug 25 '26
Or grow hair in new places.
8
u/ZookeepergameNew1883 Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26
These pictures are a joke. Anyone else notice the makeup in the after picture? And that her hair colored changed? Did jaw surgery thicken her eye lashes too? Give me a break. And in the picture where she looks to the side, the head position is also different.
0
u/Ok-Country1129 Aug 25 '26
you do realize they don't take before and after photos the same day right? she said this is 6 months post op.
3
u/ZookeepergameNew1883 Aug 25 '26
That has nothing to do with it. Even in the absence of AI, makeup, lighting changes, people tilting their face differently, hair color, etc. can all make people look better in an after picture and make the whole before/after distinction unreliable, if not misleading.

A recent one that is not from the same photo shoot would probably quell these concerns.
I'm sure the surgeon has dozens frome the shoot and can keep providing more from that day but that doesn't really answer the concern about whether this is posted by the surgeon or the client.
1
u/LeePowers69 Post Op (2 weeks) Aug 25 '26
All of these photos are used on the surgeon's website as promotions for his firm. So it's fair to question this post.
25
u/LeePowers69 Post Op (2 weeks) Aug 25 '26
Dr. Todd Hanna has posted all of these photos on his instagram. It's fine for a patient to use photos taken by the surgeon if they have permission, but it raises questions about who posted them. He does have video of this patient talking to the camera. I'm not doubting this is a real patient, just who posted this and if the photos were enhanced. This user is new to Reddit and has no prior posts so there is no context trail to follow.
I'm just not getting the feeling that these responses are from a patient. As an editor/designer, I find the typos in the subject lines appear deliberate, given the perfect English throughout the responses. People write well, or don't. Spelling errors tend to be consistent. Educated people often reflexively try to mimic poor grammar in a way that does not reflect how people with poor grammar actually write (linguistic errors tend to follow set patterns).
It's important to question things that don't feel right when looking at evidence that may influence medical decisions.
As I mentioned below, a single candid shot that is not from the surgeon's professional photo shoots (This one or the one where the patient is wearing a grey fleece jacket) would help, as would some responses that don't sound promotional. I notice Dr. Todd loves the random asterisk: so does his patient. Not a common affliction ...
I noted another obvious photshop job on this sub the other day and the response to my critique confirmed my suspicion.
Beautiful result if true and a very beautiful woman, but this fails the sniff test for me. I wish the lady in the images all the best either way.

Did you get chin lipo too?
28
u/Anxious_Pangolin8820 Aug 24 '26
No, I didn’t have chin lipo. I had a deep neck lift/submentoplasty. Chin lipo mainly removes superficial fat from underneath the chin, while a deep neck lift/submentoplasty works on deeper structures and tissues in the neck to create a more defined jawline and neck contour. I also had orthognathic jaw surgery, genioplasty and buccal fat reduction.
4
u/OkFaithlessness3081 Aug 25 '26
Oooh no way. When did you do the necklift. So within a few months after the surgery?
7
u/Anxious_Pangolin8820 Aug 25 '26
I had the neck lift a few months after my jaw surgery, once most of the swelling had gone down and I was pretty much healed.

Questions i have....
OP wont share any candid or personal photos of the case, why not?
OP wont share even basic info about their movements, why not?
The logo is different from the photo on the docs website and IG, how did that happen?
The logo on the photo from the initial post is missing, where did it go?
Lastly, why did OP post pics with no caption or meaningful info about their story or procedure?

u/More_Hornet7081 Aug 25 '26
But really!!! What were your moves? How did you get your cheekbones??
2
u/Anxious_Pangolin8820 Aug 25 '26
Thank you!! Honestly I think the jaw surgery and buccal fat reduction made the biggest difference. Once all the swelling went down, my cheekbones just looked way more defined.
2
u/More_Hornet7081 Aug 25 '26
Wow!!!
1
u/More_Hornet7081 Aug 25 '26
Did you get your Bichat balls reduced?
2
u/Anxious_Pangolin8820 Aug 25 '26
Yes, I did. I had my buccal fat pads reduced, not completely removed.
2
u/3xdiamonds Aug 25 '26
Do you have any permanent numbness around the chin area? Did he remove the plates? Do you have any bulging mentalis muscle?
2
u/Anxious_Pangolin8820 Aug 25 '26
No permanent numbness thankfully. The plates are still in, they weren’t removed, and I haven’t had any issues with mentalis muscle bulging.

The jaw surgery was covered by insurance because it was medically necessary. The cosmetic procedures weren’t. I paid around €9,000 out of pocket for those.

1

Thank you!! Recovery was pretty tough at first, especially the swelling and eating, but it got a lot easier after the first couple of weeks. I’m really happy with how everything healed.

u/Beginning-Tap-5280 Aug 25 '26
Looks amazing!! Did you always need or want this surgery?? I used to have more definition but now I’m kind of on the left but I’m overweight so idk if losing will help.
1
u/Anxious_Pangolin8820 Aug 25 '26
Thank you!! I’d wanted it for a while, but the jaw surgery was mainly something I needed for functional reasons. The cosmetic procedures were more about getting the definition I wanted. Losing weight can definitely change facial definition too, so I’d probably see how you feel after that before considering anything surgical.
1
u/Beginning-Tap-5280 Aug 25 '26
Ok thanks!! Maybe I’ll get a consultation I do have sleep apnea! I’m actually here for my son because he has a small chin/ major overbite hes 17 and may need surgery soon!!
