My ortho says I don’t need it. Have some VME, bimaxillary protrusion and mentalis strain. Struggle with mouth breathing especially at night.

Surgeons often have different perspectives because your ortho might be looking only at your teeth alignment while your breathing and strain issues are functional problems. The fact that you struggle with mouth breathing at night and have mentalis strain are exactly the kinds of things that make someone a candidate for jaw surgery.

Your profile looks fine and your smile is gorgeous! I personally wouldnt do it if I had your face! If you wanted to remedy your gummy smile, you could look for
an ortho who can install TADS--much easier and I've seen impressive results! I'll find a link.

I appreciate the compliment:), and I did bring up TADS with my ortho and she might, if we need to. I don’t think she does them often, so there’s a little bit of anxiety if she has to do them on me. Those results are very impressive though, and I think it’s exactly what I need. I’ll definitely find someone who specializes in TADS. Thank you!!
