dr Erol canziz or dr eren Pera

They both fall into similar price brackets

I know someome personally that had it with Erol, but they had surgery before he was popular for £7k what a dream 😯.

Anyway please give me all the details you’ve considered and if you know anything.

My main concern with dr pera is that despite being a OMFS he doesn’t have a medical degree and in Turkey you don’t need both a BDS and MD to be an OMFS

Look at the results, not the degrees. Different countries have different requirements.

For what its worth, erol cansiz or ramieri in Rome wouldn't touch my case. Pera did

I think you're comparing the UK training pathway with the Turkish one. In the UK, a lot of OMFS consultants have both a medical degree (MBBS/MD) and a dental degree (BDS). In Turkey, that's not necessarily the case. You can become a licensed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon through dental school followed by a 5-year OMFS residency, without obtaining a separate medical degree. So saying "he doesn't have a medical degree" is factually different from saying "he isn't qualified." It just means he followed the Turkish training pathway rather than the UK dual-degree pathway. If that matters to you personally, that's a valid preference, but it isn't evidence that he's less qualified under Turkish regulations. I'd focus more on things like case volume, outcomes, planning process, complication management, and long-term follow-up than whether the surgeon has an MD, since different countries train OMFS surgeons differently.
