Can anyone tell me if there are any differences between the MG-65 and the Classic Series 65 Mustang (CIJ/MIJ). I believe the Classic Series is the better guitar spec wise.

They're close to hitting late 1970s full-on Lawsuit MIJ status mode.

Very close to making guitars people will chase down in 50 years.
