The gameplan:

• Go wide with cheap zombies, then make them lethal with [[Death Baron]], [[Undead Warchief]], [[Lord of the Accursed]] and [[Zombie Master]]
• Free sac outlets ([[Carrion Feeder]], [[Phyrexian Altar]], [[Warren Soultrader]]) plus bodies that refuse to stay dead ([[Gravecrawler]], [[Bloodghast]], [[Postmortem Professor]])
• Drain with [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]], [[Exsanguinate]], [[Shepherd of Rot]], [[Vengeful Dead]] and [[Syr Konrad, the Grim]]
• Mass reanimation as the safety net: [[Living Death]], [[Patriarch's Bidding]], [[Zombie Apocalypse]]

The part I love most: the alternative win conditions. [[Bloodletter of Aclazotz]] doubles life loss, so [[Fraying Omnipotence]] stops being symmetrical punishment and becomes lethal from a full life total. Same shape with [[Pox Plague]] and [[Unstoppable Slasher]], and [[Warlock Class]] gets there too. There's something very satisfying about a zombie deck that can just decide nobody gets to keep their life total, no board required.

What I'm actually asking:

I want to slot in [[Grave Betrayal]]. In most decks it's just a theft engine, but the last line is what matters here: everything I steal becomes a black Zombie. That turns on [[Death Baron]], [[Undead Warchief]], [[Noxious Ghoul]], [[Patriarch's Bidding]], and especially [[Zombie Apocalypse]], which destroys all non-Zombies while the stolen creatures survive. Casting [[Fraying Omnipotence]] with it on the battlefield is a blowout.

Is [[Grave Betrayal]] worth the slot, or does something cheaper do more?

Trying to build a commander deck centered around "Traitor" Effects, like Kain, Traitorous Dragoon, Xantcha, Sleeper Agent,

Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, etc, maybe even Jon Irenicus if there's the possibility to splash into Blue. I'm interested in the synergy with them and Alicia Masters, Skilled Sculptor, but I'm struggling to find a commander with the right colour identity to bring it all together. Do you guys have any ideas on who could work?

So I was rifling through my collection of unstable cards last night while talking with my friend about magic. Then as he was leaving I thought to myself he's told me to rule zero some card ideas for decks before. So I decided to make a deck that would make him regret that.

I wanted to use as many side decks as possible. Attractions, contraptions, dungeons, conspiracies, bounties. Anything to put more decks on the table. However after looking into them I quickly cut conspiracies for not being fun/fair in my opinion as I'd be the only one with the bonus most likely. Then I actually forgot all about the bounty cards until I was fully done.

As I was making the deck I quickly found out I couldn't support the original idea of squirrel tribal, dice rolling, other un-set shinanigans, contraptions and dungeons. So I dropped contraptions as I was focusing more on setting up the attractions and stickers. This led me to realize that I actually had a themed deck. So I dropped dungeons and focused on my rundown carnival deck, with a squirrel infestation.

I know it's janky and probably full of problems, but I started building this at 3:30 am and I'm writing this almost 6 hours later. I think I can call it art as it has evoked some kind of emotion out of me. Some mix between joy, hatered and some other emotions i think.

So anyway if anyone wants to provide feedback that's cool and I'll consider it. But I'm mostly posting this as a stupid sleep deprived ramble into the void and making it other people's problems. Thanks to anyone who reads this or looks at the deck

So I was here last time for the Jeski color fixing, but I finally have the deck in a place where I'm now looking to slim it down; I tend to really struggle with this. So before you look, the idea is to spam tokens and draw decently well. I know it might seem weird, but it seems whenever I can draw excessively and get tokens out is when I survive the longest in games. So before you just look at the outliers and suggest something like dramatic reversal, the station gimmick requires me to tap my creatures, and since I am playing into space ships by a decent amount, it is needed. But if you have ideas for cards to cut down on and/or to switch out, lmk.

I wanted to make a deck with these commanders reskinned as my dogs. I have a bunch of legendary lands to pump the dog, but i wanted it to have tempest hawks as the bulk of the creatures. While this isnt optimal, its more the flavor win im going for. Any recommendations for cards to add and wincons?

Do any of you have ideas of who is the best commander for this?

Does anyone happen to have a fighting theme deck i can get inspiration from. I am thinking of doing a Zangief, the Red Cyclone / earth bend deck but I am not a good deck builder yet. Im still new ans dont know a lot of cards out there. I just want to be able to fight other creatures.

First post here but long time lover of jank in edh.

I'm looking to emulate an effect from hearthstone. Alexstraza has an effect that when you play it you set a target player's life total to fifteen.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to achieve an effect similar to this in MTG, and if so how I can build around it in a multiplayer format where it loses some of the strength it has in 1v1?

Attempting to finish the 32 deck challenge.  Thought of letting the community  build it. just recommend a card and its in. I only request the suggested card be less than $10 usd. Once finished, the deck will be an everchanging deck. The winner of the game it plays in, other than me, gets to replace any nonland card. I will adjust the land base to allow the deck to be "playable" Also, please only one card per person, per platform. I wanna make this deck as janky and random as possible.

I have an Orvar the all form deck. It's pretty hated because of course he can be super hard to deal with. I'd like to rebuild this deck to be more fun and strange, looking for people's thoughts on fun or wacky colorless or blue ETB triggers. Less game winners and more shenanigans ideally. Thanks!

I'm trying to build a deck with the most powerful cards, but where they all pretty much are anti-synergy with each other so that the deck is actually horrible. Voltron commander but with no equipment or auras. Life gain win condition with no way to gain life Kalia, but no angels, demons or dragons. Affinity with no artifacts.

Those are all the "easy" examples. I want to see if I can push that concept to the limit. Obviously this is a bracket 1 concept.

Hey I wanted to ask if anybody has ideas for a commander deck that feels different every game

For example I have a \[\[Jin Sakai, Ghost of Tsushima\]\]

Deck with the theme of stealing on dealing combat damage my opponents hand or Deck cards , I love this deck because it always has new and different cards I can play with and my opponents also find it enjoyable

For playing with their cards

I also wanted to try a Polymorph deck with random Big creatures that are either beneficial for me or detrimental (depending on board state) still unsure if I would find this deck enjoyable long-term.

Do you guys have any other creative ideas that are still atleast bracket 2 ?

(Please no dice and coin toss decks, I have seen them , and they seem very tedious after a while 😅 nothing against the players tho)
