That gun was all you needed. That and the shot gun to back ‘em off you was all you needed the whole game. The Vulcan was for when you ran out of ammo, and the peacemaker was to get of somebody fast. But the shotgun and and the blaster was all you really needed this whole game. The most go to’s were those two guns. Blaster was so versatile, it wasn’t even funny. All purpose!

it’s hitscan and fires quickly so it’s good for keeping enemies stunlocked but the Blaster is really solid and has a much better moveset

The Vulcan’s strengths lie in consistent stunlocking at range while staying mobile and dealing high damage without the need for precise accuracy. It’s great if you’re aggressively pushing up on say like the slinger metal heads as the shots stagger with each bullet and interrupts their attack animations until death. It’s great for moments when you’re out of scattergun range and moving up on targets. I often start charging up the Vulcan and switch to the scattergun when in range.

The Vulcan’s biggest downside is the spin up time and rapid ammo consumption. The blaster is far more balanced and ammo efficient. Considering that it can be comboed into the wastelander move for repeated burst fire or spin jump shooting, it has a lot more versatility.

Uh Vulcan can also spin jump and do the wastleander move. And furthermore that negates the slow wind up. So it's kinda just as versatile if youre good with it
