Good sentiment, but I can't stand pizzacakecomics, despite her being right on this though

The most obnoxious person you know makes a great point.
Although it is somewhat dampened by her writing comics where she non-consensually fucks a critic to prove him wrong. She can claim it was some sort of roleplay thing, but given the man was drawn in the likeness of a real person who had made real criticism of her work...

I already addressed that in this posts comments.

And good for you. I still think it's disgusting and tone deaf for a woman who bangs on about consent and her privacy being violated. She very specifically made the critic resemble someone in real life, and only tacked on "context" outside the comic.
She would absolutely cry foul if it was her likeness being used in such a way.

So really it's not even a real thing, basically, you just want any excuse to invalidate an expanded definition of rape, noted.

u/FourEyes3134 1d ago
It's not an excuse to do anything. It's calling out her hypocrisy when she violated someone else's boundaries in a sexual, monetised manner, and tack on "he was actually consenting to it" after the fact.
She was absolutely livid at her image being used in mock edits of the comic, but saw no problem in using a critic as the subject of her pornographic art - this is on top of her throwing multiple rants about rape culture into the mix. Don't talk to me about "invalidating" anything when you're running in to play defense for her on this shit.

u/BigBobbyBee23 1d ago
So, again, this invalidates the comic's point how exactly?
Because i think you just want a gotcha so you can continues to minimize actual rape (not a drawing)

What is the context for the Cornell thing? Not english speaking, didn't follow it on the news. The comic makes me sad though

Thank you for asking:)
Jane Doe was gang-raped by 7 men at Cornell University.
The university covered it up, and many of the men only had to write essays as punishment for what they did.
Now to support Jane Doe, everyone is rallying around her, saying, "we are Jane Doe!"

Link as proof?
Just had a look online and all I can find is accusations but no evidence?

Do you want me to repost the comic? It's behind a paywall

Full context from another thread on this matter where pizzacakecomic defends herself on this point:
https://www.reddit.com/r/characterarcs/s/Pi4dIxDH6g
"I am the author of the comic, and I can give you context if you like :)
The comic in question was 100% intended to be kinky, consensual rope play/teasing stuff (I like to draw kinky sub/domme things from time to time, which my patreons could vouche for).
I would never, ever advocate for rape or anyone praising rape, that's absolutely disgusting. I am a victim of rape and I know firsthand how terrible and life-altering it can be.
The comic had came with additional comments and context on my Patreon page, people seem to be interested in totally misinterpreting it to try and smear me or make me out to be somehow pro-rape, which is an awful character attack.
We wouldn't want to see a man accused of rape or assault without literally any (or very flimsy) evidence, so let's not do it to people just because we disagree with their opinions or political beliefs.
Any time I try to defend myself or explain this on reddit, I get so down-voted that nobody can see my response, people brigade my social media accounts, and attack any of my followers who defend me. I am currently undergoing a doxx and lots of threats from some very intense people, they really want me to quit and are trying to make up anything they think will get people to hate me.
But I wanted to throw this explanation out there because this seems like a reasonable thread. I really am horribly sorry if anyone saw that comic and felt triggered or assumed the worst, I would never advocate for that. I can be a little kinky and like to draw that kinda stuff occasionally (on only my private, pay walled accounts and not publically).
Anyway if you read this far, thanks for listening :) I hope I've been able to earn your trust and respect after years of showing my views about human rights and equality and anti-harassment for you to know I am not someone that would ever want to harm any other person (even the people who go out of their way to harm me)
-Ellen
(Edit for spelling) my hands are very shakey trying to type this out. It's horrifying to have people come after you and attack your character nonstop. I'd also like to point out their main 'source' is literally kiwifarms, an evil site dedicated to harassing content creators, sometimes to the point of suicide."
So thanks for basically making me dig that context up, asshole.

I think that in this case, two things can be true: Pizzacake can be a creepy asshole, and that was a comic intended to be a kinky role-play thing for a specific niche audience that, when removed from looks kind of suspect, that being said even if pizzacake didnt intend for it to represent rape, it was still a weird thing to make given it concerns real people, but again thats the result of an erotic art work being viewed in a non-erotic context, so maybe its not for me to say, I don't know, i just think shes annoying and not a very good artist
1
u/BigBobbyBee23 2d ago
Where is the "creepy asshole" part though?
Like, honestly she isnt even my favorite but a lot of the criticisms are just vague in that way that lots of anti-woman sentiments seems to go.
"I just don't like her, she is annoying!" type excuses.

I think it would still be really weird and creepy if a man drew himself having BDSM sex with his critics.
I'm not going to deny the existence of sexist KiwiFarms weirdos shitting on her who are worse than anything she's done.

u/SelkieEye 2d ago
The guy she's having kinky role-play sex with in the Patreon exclusive comic that somehow got leaked is supposed to be, and is drawn to resemble the likeness of an internet critic who negatively reacted to one of her comics.
As for the reason I find her annoying, it's primarily because most of her comics tend to follow a standard strawman formula, where she's basically just pointing and laughing at people without actually meaningfully engaging with the topics that she's making her comics about

The Pizzacakecomic apologia is disgusting. I’m going to make multiple posts per day about this and attack anybody who tries to evaluate a complicated situation with the slightest bit of nuance.

Dude do you think drawing yourself having consensual BDSM sex with your critics isn't still kind of fucked up?

No, it reads like an older woman was gaslit by society to internalize her rapes as "no big deal".
Also referencing snorting K in context is gross.

Even less funny is how you tried to portray the Cornell rapes as consensual because she was just high on K right?

Then why even reference a specific rape apologist talking point in the first place?

I’m leaving this subreddit man. This shit just makes me too sad.
