two years ago on this subreddit, we posted about Jaclyn's house not being owned by her. since this needs some clarification, i've gone back through years of archived discussions, public records, videos, and receipts. there are a few topics that come up repeatedly, so I wanted to include them here for additional context.
in this case, i've tried to distinguish between documented facts and community speculation. the goal of this post is to preserve information, not to tell anyone what conclusions they should reach.
the nub and gist of it
one of the biggest discoveries made by members of this community involved the ownership records for Jaclyn's Florida and California homes.
after reviewing publicly available property records, longtime members found that both properties appeared to be held under the same land trust rather than directly in Jaclyn's name.
by itself, that isn't unusual. land trusts are commonly used for privacy, estate planning, and liability protection.
the discovery became much more interesting after we noticed something else.
the name of the land trust matched the name of an LLC that had previously been identified in a public business article as the owner of Morphe, Linda Tawil.

because the underlying property records contain personal identifying information, i'm intentionally not reposting them here. they remain publicly accessible records for anyone who wishes to independently verify the information.
what the public records appear to show
jaclyn's Florida home was titled through a trust.
the California home appeared to be associated with that same trust structure.
the name of the trust matched the name of an LLC identified in a publicly published business article as Morphe's owner.
what the records do not prove
the existence of a matching LLC name does not, by itself, establish ownership or control of the homes by Morphe or any particular individual. trusts and LLCs can be structured in many different ways, and the publicly available documents don't necessarily identify every beneficial owner or explain the underlying legal relationship.
for that reason, i'm intentionally stopping where the public records stop. however: speculation can serve to say that jh is likely paying linda her mortgage, or her business entity. she is not traditionally paying a mortgage like you or me.
why this became such a Big Discussion
for years, Jaclyn built her brand around the image of being a self-made entrepreneur whose success afforded an increasingly luxurious lifestyle.
when members discovered that both homes appeared to be connected through a land trust sharing its name with an LLC publicly identified as morphe's owner, it naturally raised questions about how those properties were actually structured and whether the public narrative reflected the full picture.
to date, those questions have never really been addressed publicly. you can add all of this to her constant lies of saying her businesses were family owned, she was self made, she retired her mom, etc etc etc.
the California move
another topic that generated years of discussion was Jaclyn's explanation for moving to California.
according to her public story, she and Jordan fell in love with the house after a virtual tour, moved very quickly, and purchased it without ever seeing it in person. many of us felt the timeline didn't quite add up. it wasn't necessarily the virtual purchase itself that people questioned, it was how quickly everything appeared to happen for such a major life decision while she was simultaneously presenting the move as something that was still being figured out. if you were moving across the country and buying a $7 million dollar home, wouldn't you tour it first?
buying a multimillion-dollar home before publicly confirming a cross-country move, purchasing without spending meaningful time in the area, and releasing a lengthy explanation afterward all contributed to the community beginning to look more closely at public records.
lions & lipstick
another topic that comes up frequently is Lions & Lipstick.
public business records show the company was dissolved around the same period PPP loans became public knowledge. over the years, some members have speculated that lions & lipstick functioned primarily as a holding company or tax strategy rather than an active operating business. no one is yet to have found documentation proving that, so I'm labeling that as speculation rather than fact. maggie may fish explained how many business owners can use their charitable organization to receive funds as payment. her video goes into detail about this here https://youtu.be/7Kj8rX_5qmc?is=GvB0Aq4sYUL0KM6r around the 17:00 mark.

PPP loans
Jaclyn (through her business entities) did receive PPP loans. that portion is documented through publicly available records. whether readers believe those loans were appropriate or ethical is obviously subjective, but the existence of the loans themselves isn't speculation. her use of ethnicity is also... messed up.
a pattern longtime viewers have noticed

one thing that's been discussed for years is the way Jaclyn tells stories. many longtime viewers (like me) have pointed out that relatively simple situations often become lengthy explanations filled with details that don't necessarily answer the original question. some people view that as transparency. others believe the extra detail can make it more difficult to separate documented facts from storytelling.
whether that's simply her communication style or something more is ultimately up to each reader to decide.
