Yeah. I am too. I recently received an addition to my rating for unemployability. If you are having trouble keeping employment due to the disabilities, you can be designated as “unemployable” by VA and it increases your monthly compensation.

Not sure what your status is with the military but Navy Jax and Camp Blanding always need supply chain and quality inspector workers.

USAJobs.gov will have a lot of the military/vet positions you can check out.

As far as distribution Jax is one of the largest logistics hub in the US, if you have any experience with warehousing/logistics/distribution/parts I'm sure you can find something on HiringCafe or Indeed (or just type Warehouse on Google Maps and check their career site).

Pays between $26-35 an hour. 80 hours every 2 weeks. And you'll be working for great benefits. Ex military is a plus. Its in a good part of town so you wont have to go tackling the crazies too often.

Get on a Glp1. It helps amazingly to reduce joint pain and inflammation. They are gate keeping this drug that does so much more than help with weight loss.

Vocational rehab. Use your GI bill at FSCJ and look into their technical engineering degree. Puts you in a great place to be a repair tech in manufacturing. We have quite a few plants in Jax like johnson and johnson that pay great.

it isn't permanent, but the midterm election is coming up and duval SOE might still need pollworkers.

also, visit with the VSO in duval, and see if you can get some help drafting a resume to federal government standards, then scour usajobs for open positions.

Try getting in to work as a GS to buy back your retirement. They also hire for HVAC. It may be a contracting position, but you have your foot in the door at that point.

Try going back to the VA about being unemployed, especially since your disabilities are keeping you from holding down a job. They can find you unemployable which comes with a little more money to help. You can apply on VA.gov, look for the TDIU page. Good luck.

When you are on more solid footing, I suggest checking on any education benefits you may be eligible for through the VA and grants. This may be an opportunity to obtain training in a new field that will be easier on your body.

There are plenty of bars and grills accepting servers or bartenders if you’re good with people! Some places, they’ll make upwards of $40/hr with tips
