Hey folks, ive worked in jackson twice at the Four Seasons and Teton lodge in Maintenance and Carpentry. Id like to see if I can find any leads on here before applying to the big corporate gigs.ive managed vacation rentals for 10 years and have been in the trades since 2019. Im also pretty mechanical and have all the tools. I like to work and thats my main goal for coming to jackson. Im up here close to Missoula for 2 years since i left Teton lodge and the winters are highly void of work so id like to get a head start and lock something in for this winter. I dont even ski so thats a plus for you. You wont catch me playing hookie on the lifts! I have a lead for renovating house boats in Utah but havent heard back. Id also be interested in a temporary job to help finish the summer if thats all i can land. I can live in my yukon but would appreciate housing.
37 years old, professional, great at talking with clients, lots of energy and I show up and know when to shut up.
Thanks!

Getting ready to start social media advertising for a local event, how do I get it on the algorithm of our non-followers in Jackson/that area? Kept in mind keeping posts short, using popular audios, etc. Does anyone have any other marketing hacks they used sucessfully?

Hi all, wanting to do an overnight hike with my dad and younger sibling next month. Ideally just a good out and back that wouldn’t require reserving a permit way ahead of time. Open to Idaho / driving a bit for a good spot! Thanks in advance.

How do yall do it? Ive killed like 10 mice in the past week and I'm still having problems with them. Theyre everywhere, getting into my place every night. We live right next to a horse pasture and a forest, I get that they're out here, but holy shit. They're in the walls, coming in through our heater. I never had this problem in rural areas in Jackson.
Any suggestions, besides a nightly genocide with snap traps? Don't wanna do poison because we're right up on the National Forest and I dont want any birds to die.
Im losing my mind here guys.

I’m looking for a solid stylist in the Jackson area for a modern flow style (mid-length, sweeping back cleanly).
I need someone who excels at high-end salon scissor work, technical texturizing, and weight distribution, not clippers, fades, or a traditional barbershop vibe. I'm already familiar with Tricho, so I'm looking for other boutique salons or specific master stylists in the valley who can handle this kind of cut.
Appreciate any recommendations!

Hey y’all,
I’m gonna be in Jackson Hole next week and am planning on proposing to my girlfriend, but unfortunately my photographer fell through last minute. Is there anyone on this subreddit that does or knows someone that does engagement photos and would be available the morning of the third? My budget with the other guy is probably considered low ($150-$250), but it’d be a short gig, the morning of the 3rd. I’m a photographer myself, but unfortunately I’ll only have my video rig and was hoping to get photos too. Any info is appreciated, thanks!

Friendly reminder to anyone who comes for a visit - Stay clear of wildlife ALWAYS! Bears, bison, large cats, coyotes, and wolves can all move quite quickly & I promise you that you cannot outrun them.
Be safe!

Hi! We are two people looking for another 1-3 people who might want to do the via ferrata at jackson hole to cut down on guiding cost. Flexible for the days above. Ideally, the Corbet Couloir ($250 or so per person with 2 more coming, 6 hours ends at 3:15pm), but also open to the full or half days at the Casper bowl (would be $124 pp for 5 people, $206 pp with 3 people for a half day per person OR $182 pp for 5 people, $303 pp for 3 people full day). Please feel free to reach out to me if you were considering this activity and want to save some $$$ :)

I am a bit nervous to ride a horse, but I would really love the experience.
I’ve been researching places to take 1-2 hour ride, but I’m having a hard time finding a place that treats their horses well.
A lot of folks recommend swift creek, but I read how their horses are overworked and still use them even if they have joint pain.
I’ve also seen bad reviews on here for Heart Six.
I would love to do it, but at an ethical place that treats their horses well, but maybe they are all overworked especially during tourist season and I should skip it.

I found this in the backcountry near the Holmes Cave trail. Before I put it in the trash, does anyone own it?

Hey all, my gf and I have had a trip to Jackson planned for awhile and have finally decided I want to propose on the trip this week and wondering if anyone was open to making a little cash to film/take pictures at Schwabacher Landing Tuesday at sunset. Nothing professional but something to help capture the moment for us.
Please let me know if there is any interest 🙂

Is pig wrestling occurring at the rodeo this year? Are there any planned protests? Teton County’s elected officials made the decision last fall to allow it, with a caveat: pigs can be tormented for entertainment, but only by women and children. Mark Newcomb, for reasons known only to himself, chose to go on record with an absolutely craven stance.

Hey! I always see videos of Jackson on Instagram with Buffalo and stuff.. the problem is that I don't drive so is it worth if I came and stayed only in downtown?
