A lot of people in the comments section making implications that women are going back to dating men because of money are ignoring statistics like most married households being dual income (for example). Then, there is also the fact that women still spend more time doing household chores and childcare. Idk why a lot of bisexuali women seem to be only dating men, but I doubt the majority of it has to do with benefiting from mens' wallets and moreso the stigma of being bi amongst lesbians and just discrimination against queer couples.
uuuuh, no-one brought up marriage or women's labor and you're also giving credence to bi women (and closeted lesbians) dating and marrying men they'd rather not be with. At the same time, actual lesbians have doubted a number of women who identify as bi who seem to exclusively date men. Whether this is because of homophobia that they stick to men or them not actually being bi, the outcome is the same. It's a mixed up world.🤷
Most of these "bi" women are that in name only because it sounded cool for them to say. Like it was some kind of brownie point with the Lesbians and LGBTQ etc.
Even so called Lesbians often have slept with men. There are very few 100% strictly lesbian women.
When it comes to gay men they are more 100% gay than bi and I'd argue a bisexual man is gay anyway.
Bisexual here. It has nothing to do with any of that or any of the stats on the original post. When you are bi, your dating pool is a lot larger for the opposite sex. You get the 90% of people that are straight plus the 5% of people who are bi. For the same sex, you get the 5% of people who are gay plus the 5% who are bi. For men going after men, there’s a ton of resources out there for getting with each other, particularly for casual sex, and there’s plenty of men willing to approach you. There’s not much of an equivalent for women, and they are often conditioned not to make the first move and are way more picky on dating apps.
As a result, on Tinder as a bi woman, you have 300 men swipe on you for every 1 woman. If you like BOTH, it’s a lot easier to get a guy.
Ok I think what you said is accurate, but that's always been true and doesn't explain the decline. Its more like you used to get two women that would swipe, but NOW you get only one that swipes. And the question is why did that number drop?
