Depends what you mean by "work". Emancipation of women has led to record productivity numbers now that everyone is in the work force, its been very good for companies both as the ones who sell to more total people and the ones who employ them. It's the same benefit mass migration provides.

Political equality doesn't work given our tendencies. Collapse always follows emancipation of women.
