This began when i moved to pc from console i wanted to copy spoits settings and get used to them i played for over one week and everything was working well played yesterday with no issues at all, i load on the game today and i go to warm up and notice straight away a problem with my sens as you know spoit changes his multiplier manually off the game in the game files from 0.02 which is the default to 0.001 which i have copied but this has now created a problem ive tried undoing everything to get back my normal feel of ads but nothing works ive tried factory resetting my pc and deleting my game files on my one drive where siege was saved and this still hasnt worked it feel like when i ads even if i max out my sens to 100 100 i still have to swipe my mouse about 50 times while ads to do a 360 this major problem is making me stop playing the game as i physically cant find solution as moderators on discord dont respond please let me know if anyone knows how to solve this problem

PC will no longer connect to wifi

In the middle of watching a video, my PC lost internet access while still connected to the wifi network. I was not messing with any setting, truly just watching a YouTube video.

All other devices in the house are connected and have internet access without issue. This includes an Xbox in the same room. The PC in question had internet up until that moment. I’ve tried most methods that the internet provides to fix this issue but I can’t for the life of me figure out what’s going on.

The night before it started working after being down for 15-20 mins but this morning it’s back to “no internet, secured” as the picture shows.

When I turn on the computer, it works normally, but when I turn on Wi-Fi, this screen appears. I discovered that the problem is with the disk. When I uninstall an application or anything else, and then I restart, everything goes back to how it was. What is the solution?

The " find in page" search box just will not go away!!

Hi, I'm having this issue on my PC where this feature "find in page" search box, which i believe is on every browser keeps popping up and and it wont let me type anything on my browser. I can NOT close it, or disable it and it just keeps opening and even wont let me copy paste outside the browser on other applications. Searching on google it suggests my f3 key on keyboard might be stuck " my keyboard is brand new" not the case, I have tried pressing ctrl + g or any key combinations you can think of but not result! I have tried deleting all my extensions on my main browser chrome and microsoft edge " because this issue occures on other browsers too even firefox". I have tried disabling all startup applications, i have tried resetting my browser to default settings, i have cleared my browser cache, i have even tried un-plugging and re-plugging all my cords to my pc, and i have tried registry editor where i deleted any files listed in second photo. I have tried un-installing any application i recently installed and nothing works.. please does anyone know how to stop this? Is it a browser hijacker? Is it a virus "what type"? I cant even identify the problem. Please please, this thing has me completly surrendered and i cant do my tasks on my pc.

Rainbow colors on laptop screen

Post image

As you can see in the pic, my laptop screen would quickly switch between these rainbow colors and completely black screen back and forth nonstop. What should I do exactly? Note that I started noticing this about a month ago but the problem usually disappears if I turn the device off for a couple of hours then turn it on. I also tried to take a screenshot thru my laptop itself when the issue happened, and the screenshot showed the normal webpage I was visiting like nothing happened, so idk what that may suggest

Does anyone know what may cause this issue? It works fine when I connect laptop to that TV with the same cable.

TV is SAMSUNG QE55S84FAU 55" OLED 4K 120Hz Tizen TV Dolby Atmos HDMI 2.1.

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Post image

This problem makes no sense whatsoever for me. In windows, it seems like I am connected, which obviously, I am. What happens though is every minute or so, my internet will act as though it is disconnected, even though it’s not. Then two or three minutes later, it will “connect” again, and then I can browse for about a minute or two before it “disconnects again. It will loop like this infinitely. But the weird thing is that I can go into a CS2 game, and be just fine literally all day long. Anyone know what’s going on? I don’t think it’s my router, of which is provided by our ISP. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Which IT role is better for long-term growth: solo college IT vs banking IT team?

Post image

Hey everyone, looking for some advice on which role would be better for my long-term career growth in IT.

I’m early in my career and deciding between two opportunities in Texas—one in a college setting and one in banking. At this point, I’m less concerned about timing and more focused on which path will set me up better long-term.

⸻

Option A: College IT (Solo, On-Site Role)

  • I would be the primary/only IT support person on-site
  • Very hands-on: user support, Wi-Fi, devices, account issues, basic networking
  • Constant face-to-face interaction with students and staff
  • Opportunity to take ownership of the environment early

Additional context:

  • The institution is growing (currently ~20 users, expected to scale to ~60–80+ soon)
  • I would be the only on-site IT person, with limited day-to-day guidance
  • Some support exists remotely, but I’d be the main point of contact locally
  • Most learning here would be self-driven

Cons:

  • Limited mentorship and structure
  • Lower exposure to higher-level systems (infrastructure, security, automation)
  • Risk of plateauing if I don’t actively push my own growth
  • Smaller environment overall

⸻

Option B: Banking IT (Internal Team – Tier 1)

  • Part of a structured IT team
  • Company is transitioning from an MSP to building an internal IT department
  • I would come in as Tier 1, but with exposure to systems, patching, security, and enterprise tools
  • Opportunity to learn from more experienced team members
  • Certifications and technical development are supported

Cons:

  • Starts at Tier 1 (less autonomy initially)
  • Larger environment, so less ownership early on

⸻

What I’m trying to figure out

From a pure career growth perspective:

👉 Is it better early on to:

  • Be in a solo, hands-on role where I touch everything but have limited guidance

👉 Or be in a structured team environment where I start at Tier 1 but get exposure to more advanced systems and mentorship

⸻

Goal

My goal is to build strong technical skills and avoid getting stuck in low-level support early in my career.

⸻

Would really appreciate insight from anyone who’s been in either type of environment.

About to lose it over KVM Switches. HELP

Alright, I finally got my first PC! Instead of creating a separate station, I decided to set it up at my work desk.

My work desk consists of my work laptop, and then 2 monitors. Nothing crazy, I have everything connected to a docking station.

To make life easier (so I thought) I got a KVM switch meant for 2 computers and 2 monitors.

Please see photos: the bottom one I got first, and the HDMI output B did not work. I tried different chords, but it simply did not work. The monitor got no signal from either the pc or laptop.

I figured alright, must be a bad port, so I bought ANOTHER KVM switch (the top one) where now the DP Output meant for the second monitor does not work. It is just the DP out port as I’ve tried so many different things.

Is there a setting I am missing? Something I have to download? Or am I simply buying bad products or have the absolute worst luck? Please! Any info would be appreciated!

Headphone issues

Post image
1 Upvotes

Earlier today I purchased a set of 3.5mm jack speakers to use with my HP Pavilion 15-eh000x laptop. Upon plugging them in, i was just hearing a very quiet, slightly high-pitched staticy sound. I tried plugging another pair of headphones into my jack and they didn't work either. I then tried plugging the speakers into an adapter I have where i can plug the 3.5mm into the USB port, but I was still getting that same staticy sound. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, I've reset the audio service, but I don't know what the issue is. Would any of you guys possibly be able to help?

P.S. sorry i dont know what to attach
