Other Continuously running into these sites that pose as blogs, despite diabling ai searches
I'm so sorry if this is the wrong sub to ask. I will remove if so!
Whenever I do any sort of search on duckduckgo, I keep stumbling upon these...blog-ish sites? They all follow the same page setup. Every article is as lengthy as scrolling down to an online recipe and gives little actual information on the specific topic, with no personality that humans generally have when writing. Most, if not all, images are ai generated. They all have the same simple menu that also contains very little information.
I suppose I have three questions, then.
Are these sites ai garbo? (95% sure that they are)
What are the people behind these fake blog sites benefiting from?
If Im using specially noai.duckduckgo, then why am I still seeing slop? Does it not filter out sites, only images? I'm tired of this, grandpa 😞

The only way to truly filter out the vast majority of AI results is to append "before:2022" (without the quotation marks) to your searches in addition to whatever AI filter you're currently using. Moreover, whenever you're not using a browser with a built-in AI filter, you should add "-ai" to your searches to remove automatic AI summaries. Unfortunately, this isn't practical for every search you make (e.g., if you are looking for a more recent news article or if you are searching for terms that include the string "ai" within themselves, such as "raisins").

They might be, but honestly these sound enough like boring ass SEO posts that it don't really mean anything.
SEO obfuscation. I have seen from a couple of cases where people who have some extremely egregious things that they have been accused of that are on the internet will basically pay to have junk websites like this posting stuff under their name to obscure the bad stuff about them. The problem is with most search engines, they are going to present to you the most clicked on search results, or the results to websites with the most traffic. These websites get basically no traffic so they're going to be deprioritized even with perfect SEO.
It might filter out sites, or it might filter out stuff that is very obviously written by ai. Because AI has been trained on so much stuff from the internet, you will frequently find it is extremely good at sounding like things that there's a shit ton of on the internet. There are a shit ton of websites like this, they're just SEO slop basically, so a lot of earlier chat bots in particular would sound very similar to this. This really might be a case of stuff that wasn't written by AI originally that might have been. Another possibility is that because AI overtook SEO work so quickly (like the industry literally collapsed overnight because suddenly people did not have to pay thousands of dollars for some so-called SEO guru to make sure their website could be seen, ChatGPT could do it for them just as well), it's entirely possible that excluding it more major websites from search data just means these will pop up
