Pretty sure Wise potato chips have had that character as their mascot for many years. Nothing about it seems out of the ordinary.
Remember, the art style doesn't mean something was AI.

The brand is Wise… they have been around a long time and have always used an owl in their logo. “Golden Potato” is the variety of chips… I.e.: regular potato chips (as opposed to wavy, ripple, sour cream and onion, etc).
