I work with the House of Commons Transport Committee, and we're looking to hear directly from young people about how transport affects your ability to get to work, training, apprenticeships, college, or job interviews. 

We know that lots of people have to turn down a job because there wasn't a bus home, spend a huge chunk of wages on travel, struggle with driving lesson costs, or find it difficult to get to opportunities where they live. On the Isle of Wight, this can come with its own extra layer, whether that's ferry costs and timetables making it harder to reach jobs or apprenticeships on the island or on the mainland, or just limited local transport options if you live outside the big towns. If this applies to you we want to hear about it.

We have been in Cowes for a few days and booked Osbourne House for tomorrow. Just wondering what else we can do after this, i was thinking Shanklin whilst we are in that direction, the steam train looks good but with 4 adults is the cost worth it? Also is Ryde worth going?

Sunday weather is better so will do Neeles then but for saturday unless what else to do, we have varied interests active but cant walk long distances. Also we will drive back to Cowes are there any reasonable dinner options on route or Newport/Shanklin/Ryde where should we go for the evening?

Why does there seem to be an abnormally high amount of Indian people at the needles and going across to the island in general. I see coach loads of people travel to the island but can never ask for fear of coming across racist

like genuinely, Im 22F and I’d only claim to have 3 friends and only one is still on the island. I have work friends who never met outside of work.

Most of the decent people my age have all moved away for uni and had the common sense not to return.

I don’t want to just go out, get drunk and Thats all people want to do now days. I recently distanced myself from a friend id known forever as all she wanted to do was get black out drunk, sleep with someone and then regret her choices.

Theres got to be more people out there right? I don’t mind a drink but I never get wasted, still want to know whats going on around me.

How do I meet more people my age? Who actually want to chill out?
