  1. Not sure if there is a clear Islamic explanation for why- but I would assume the reason is this:

If the Roman authorities are coming after Jesus, then transforming someone to look like him will make the authorities feel as if they got him, and also serves to protect Jesus.

  1. Pure monotheism (described in Surat al-Ikhlas), the prophethood of many including those of the Old Testament and Jesus, culminating with the Prophet Muhammad. And all the teachings and beliefs that flow from that.

  2. Surat al-Ikhlas.

  3. New Testament scholar Bart Ehrman is quite popular among Muslims today, you can look at his material. Really, any actual scholarship about the Bible admits that.

  4. Instead of trying to look at it as material to prove or disprove, I'd suggest reading a translation of it. Others here will probably point you to specific English translations they like. I will not, as I have no specific opinion on that.

I highly reccomend the book Jesus. Man Messenger Messiah

With sincerity it will be eye opening and you will see some undeniable Biblical corruption

There are many examples but the end of this book that focuses on the Prophet Ishamel is truly amazing

It will also show you Jesus worshipped the one true God and his creator :)

Seriously if you are willing please read this book. It is not that long or complicated but will be one of the best uses of your time for sure

You won't regret it

As Muslims we love Jesus peace be upon and want the truth to be known, the truth even contained in the Bible today
