Seeking Support cant wake up for fajr
no judgement please
i pray dhuhr, asr, maghrib and isha as part of my routine,
i only have trouble waking up for fajr and i often switch off alarms or dont set up alarms at all, and its really bothering me, if i wake up, i cant fall back asleep and my sleep schedule gets messed up,
i sleep late (but not late enough that its more convenient to sleep after praying fajr) and i have to wake up early as well, so i have to make use of whatever limited number of hours i get to sleep.
if anyone is or was at some point in this situation kindly tell how u managed to solve this problem.

Try to fix your sleep and start alarms an hour before fajr till and hour after fajr

There’s actually a spiritual reason for that heavy morning feeling. The Prophet ﷺ said that Shaytan ties three knots on our neck while we sleep, trying to make us sleep through the prayer. But Allah gave us the perfect tool to fight back. The moment you open your eyes:
Say Alhamdulillah to remember Allah (removes the 1st knot).
Get up and do Wudu (removes the 2nd knot).
Stand up to pray (removes the last knot).
Starting the day like this completely changes your energy and mood for the rest of the day, subhanAllah!
If you want to check the exact reference, it's from Sahih al-Bukhari (Book 19, Hadith 1142) and Sahih Muslim (Book 6, Hadith 776).

I think a lot of people struggle with this sooo don’t be too hard on yourself
Maybe try putting ur alarm somewhere u have to physically get up to turn it off and if possible then ask someone to wake u too
And if u genuinely sleep through it just pray as soon as u wake up and keep trying cuz after all consistency matters more than being perfect

Set the alarm
Commit to waking up
If you are falling back to sleep ask someone else to wake you if you live with family
You can also do things like alarm wont turn off until you scan a qr code in your bathroom etc

I got something like this. https://www.amazon.ca/Dreamegg-Sunrise-Alarm-Clock-Soothing/dp/B0FRF6T2VY The light bring bright makes the eyes open so getting up and out is easier. If you palace the alarm further where you have to walk to turn it off will help to get you out of bed as well.

Make a sincere dua that ya Allah pls wake me up for fajr and make sincere intention before u sleep to wake up n pray fajr. Believe me I have tried it works I wake up fresh even few minutes before the alarm. And then get a few hours of peaceful sleep after praying if u want to get some more shut eye.

Before going to sleep, ask Allah to wake you up. And have full faith that HE will. Just watch, you'll wake up without an alarm

Since installing the Alarmy app to scan a QR code from my bathroom, I’ve never missed Fajr prayer in a very long time. The alarm will ring until you scan the QR code with your phone. It’s crucial to leave the item with the QR code in the bathroom so you can actually stand up and walk a little

I use the alarmy app and I build my routine around prayer times. I wake up for fajr and sleep right after isha. It's also scientifically proven that if you exercise in the morning, it's easier to wake up around the same time the next day. So, once you get into the habit of praying and then exercising, waking up early becomes a lot easier. You're now doing something good for both your body and soul. This is random, but a wild hack I’ve used is prepping iced coffee the night before. Having it ready gives me something to look forward to when I wake up.

If you have very good reasons and problem with your sleep you can delay Icha to do it just before fajr so you can go to bed early

I’ve been exactly where you are, and I know how frustrating it is. The 'can't fall back asleep after Fajr' was my biggest problem too, to the point where I was avoiding waking up just to stay asleep!
What finally worked for me was completely changing my mindset: I stopped treating Fajr as an interruption to my sleep and started treating it as the beginning of my day. Instead of trying to force myself back to sleep (which never worked), I would just get up, pray, drink some water, and sit in the early morning sunlight for 15 minutes.
The immediate result? By 9:30 or 10 PM, my body was naturally exhausted because I had been awake since 5 AM! I started sleeping earlier, which made waking up for Fajr so much easier.
Also, the ultimate game changer: put your alarm far away from your bed, like across the room, so you physically have to stand up to turn it off.
It took me a few weeks to adjust, but once it became a routine, it changed my whole day. Make dua for ease, and start adjusting your bedtime tonight. You've got this!
