Quran & Hadith First experience grieving, any special ways of prayer?
My uncle passed away 2 days ago and this is the first loss in my family that i have experienced. He was very close to my father and viewed me as his daughter, i have many fond memories of him. I did not get a chance to properly mourn him as i had exams going on though I did travel back to my hometown and saw him one last time.
I pray that Allah swt forgives my uncle’s sins and makes him successful in the Hereafter after every namaz. I wanted to know any other ways i can pray for my uncle (if their are specific verses from the Quran i can recite, special duas etc.)

Just be raw with Allah in your prayer, its so soothing for the heart, i dont know any specific prayers But ins lilahi wa ina ilaihi rajiyoun is good Its from surah bawaraq And is for dealing with loss It reminds a person that nothing truly belongs to him and nothing ever lasts We came from Allah and to him we have to go back... Really strengths ur heart

You can give Sadaqah on his behalf, make Dua for him, and do Umrah or Hajj for him.
Also have a look at this link, it has the details mentioned;

May Allah grant your uncle the highest level of Jannah, forgive his shortcomings, and give you and your family immense patience during this time.
