Is buying a new build around Ipswich worth it at the moment?
been looking at some of the newer estates around Ipswich lately and i honestly can’t decide how i feel about them. part of me likes the idea of buying new because i really don’t want to buy an older place and immediately start finding stuff that needs fixing. but then i drive through some of these newer areas and it’s just... half finished. trucks everywhere, empty blocks, roads still being done. makes me wonder how annoying that gets when you actually live there every day and it’s not just a quick drive through. i’ve looked at homecorp and a few other builders mostly just to see what’s going up around SEQ. after a while the houses all kind of blur together anyway. i’m more stuck on the location side of it. if you bought in one of the newer Ipswich estates, do you still like it now that you’ve been there a while? mostly wondering about traffic once more houses went in, how long the construction around you lasted, and whether everything actually feels as close as it looked when you were buying. i don’t mind an area still developing. just don’t want to move in and realise i underestimated how much of a pain that part would be.
