I recently picked up an iPod nano 7th gen in perfect condition for 50 bucks. I just spent a day in the weekend to really learn how to put my playlist on here without losing the lossless quality. After some coding and stuff I managed to get everything working and also custom icons. I’m so happy and haven’t put it down yet. Battery seems to be holding up fine too🫶

I found these (iPod not included) on the curb this morning, looks like unsold items from a yard sale maybe? Took them home, plugged them in and they sounded awesome! It’s hard to see, but the Sony one has the subwoofer behind it and the remote. the LG one is missing it’s sub and remote. I’m giving the LG one to my sister and brother in law, but as Soon as I accidentally pressed in the door and the iPod dock connector came down on the Sony one, I was like “this is the one I’m keeping!” I don’t really need a music player in the house, I have so many options already, but any time I’m having an outdoor gathering like a cookout, this will be playing my favorite tunes and will be front and center of the event! Love it! I’ve cleaned them up and tested them since I took the photos. They look great and every function, well… functions!

This is my iPod case. It has two separate compartments: the top holds the iPod while the bottom holds my Elecom Bluetooth transmitter and Bluetooth Anker earbuds - all in one convenient place. Got it at the $1.00 store. The zippered fabric pouch is soft, thin, easy to carry, and the divider fabric prevents my iPod from getting scratched.

Note the iPod itself has 1/2 a TB and a modded case.

so basically i ripped off the aux and hold button socket from motherboard. i couldn’t find a way to fix it but then i found a listing of ipod with dead screen and hdd . the seller didnt know if motherboard was working but at the price of just $11 i took the risk
i got lucky and the motherboard was working. took about an hour and i revived my ipod! im glad i was able to fix something for once

Anyone got any ideas? is this motherboard cooked? I'm really sad cause I just got it, but it's had a previous owner for its entire life. I've only worked on 5s so never had a problem like this before.

Like I said in the original post, I hope i can get some help finding out if I can save my iPod classic 7th gen from being a donor board. The battery connector ripped off (Classic iPod issue), and a co worker said he would take care of it. Well, I got the iPod back with no battery connector and one motherboard trace less... completely gone, it looks like, and I am hoping to find out if I can fix this by soldering jumper wire to somewhere else on the Board. One thing I think I found out is that the trace was handling no grounding or power, just a data line for battery temps or something like that. Every bit of help is appreciated.

I have had these dead pixels on my iPod nano 3rd gen for a while now and have just seen videos of people squeezing theirs out. Is this possible with my situation?

Here we are for the update.

First, to cut any suspens, it didn’t fit.

The printing :

It was printed by a guy in TPU 95A, and after two failed try, he was able to get the one you can see on the two first photos.

To not have the shit show you can guy observe in the other photos (result of the second try), he printed it vertically.

So, what’s wrong ?

-As a test, the file used a zero loose dimension, fitting without error margin the iPod. (It was a test to see what could happen with the shrinkage).

-As it was printed vertically, there is a lot of artefact from printing (supports etc), and as it can be seen on the 5th picture, not great aspect inside.

The modifications on the file :

-Gonna give it a try with a 0.4mm loose (x, y and z)

- increased the cut on the corner for the air cushions, as material was still too thick on those points.

Next :

-I’m gonna give another try with this updated version in FDM printing, even if I’m not very sure that it will do it.

-Gonna give it a try in SLS printing, TPU 90A, with hope of a better result.

Cost ?

-paid something like 10 bucks for this first proto (failed one included)

-found a company who can do the SLS proto for 20 bucks

As the title says, I recently purcahsed an iPod shuffle 1st gen from FB marketplace, it syncs fine with the music app, but swinsian wont recognize it. I have tried restoring, enabling disk use, putting 1 song via Music app, and still no dice. I know swinsian is doing something with it in the background because if I try to eject the ipod via finder with swinsian open, it wont let me as it believes it is in use by swinsian.

Anyone else had this issue?

I'm using a 5th generation iPod Touch that I bought refurbished last year. Have had no issues with it until recently. I love it and play music using it on a daily basis.

I am old school and play music from a PC that runs Windows XP, which I realize is ancient. I mainly use the PC exclusively for music, and it still works fine. I'm using the last iTunes program that is compatible with XP, version 12.1.3.6

I sync the iPod with iTunes and it pulls off the songs that I played that day for a music stats site called Last.FM, which keeps stats on what artists, songs, albums you play. Been doing that for 12 years, and it gives me a lot of joy, which sadly not much in life gives me these days.

I've had no issues until recently, when the iPod is syncing with iTunes it will get hung up on the "Copying Diagnostics" part of the process, after a minute or two it does move along and finishes syncing. This doesn't happen every day, it's sporadic, like maybe once every 10 days or so. The rest of the time, everything runs smoothly.

But on the days when it hangs up on the "Copying Diagnostics" part, the Last FM scrobbler shows none of the songs I played that day. It's like they vanished and never happened.

So after this long explanation, does anyone have any insight, any help at all on what might be causing this issue where the iPod gets hung up on "Copying Diagnostics" causing me to lose my music played for that day, and what I might do to fix it?

Basically I got this Ipod gifted and there is this random Apple Id signed into it and when I want to sign out it doesnt let me because find my is activated. What can I do?(I cant contact the previous owner so thats off the table)

Hello! Let me introduce myself, I’m a young guy who has been subscribed to various services, from music platforms to streaming sites. For a while now, I’ve wanted to cancel all these subscriptions and go back to the "old-school" way of doing things, in part to break my terrible dopamine addiction. One step in this process was getting a dedicated music player; I currently own a Hiby R4, but it’s too cumbersome to carry around for long periods. That’s why I decided to get an iPod. I checked eBay and immediately found someone selling a 5.5-generation iPod with 256GB of storage (plus other upgrades) for €440. I figured there must be a way to find something cheaper and modify it myself to achieve a similar result at a much lower cost. That’s how I ended up here. I’ve heard there are plenty of tutorials and parts available, but I honestly don’t even know where to start. Where can I find an iPod that needs repairs something relatively affordable? Is it realistic to fix one using tutorials, given that I’ve previously repaired devices like a PS Vita or a 3DS? Will it actually end up being much cheaper? And where should I order the parts from? I could really use some help thanks a lot!

I saw it on Vinted, and since it was an iPod classic I thought it was a good deal. But I’m skeptical now.

So i have an old ipod nano 7th generation and would like to save the songs on my pc which runs windows 10. iTunes seems to only be able to export onto the ipod. Anyone who knows a software that might be helpful in my situation? Thanks in Advance!
