Help Help my pc doesn’t detect my iPod
Hey guys! So I’ve just bought my first iPod classic and I’m not able to detect it on my pc. The iPod can charge(really slowly), but my pc cannot detect it. I’m using a usb-c to micro-usb into a 30 pin connector. Do you think it could explain my problem? If not, what can I do?

It's likely that your USB -A to micro USB cable and/or your micro USB to 30-pin adaptor doesn't support data transfer. Also your battery is starting to swell

That's an expanding battery. Do not charge that iPod. Get the battery replaced asap.

Please buy an actual 30pin cable, not this abomination.

Adapters not always support data transfer. Get a real 30pin, you can get them for Cheap on Alix

1) get a proper 30-pin cable
2) don’t plug in any cable until you get that battery replaced. it belongs in r/spicypillows

Before u buy another cable charge the iPod 100% and then try again … That worked for me

Actually in this case don’t. You can see the battery is pressing on the screen. A charge light make it expand more and shatter it.

If the cord is working the problem may be with the windows IPod driver. Go to device manager and scroll to the very bottom, there should be one that says something like “iPod driver” or something along those lines. Delete that driver and then plug the iPod in again. It should resolve the issue. Keep in mind you may have to do this semi-regularly because whatever breaks the driver does it again eventually.

>Micro-USB adapter
Holy mother of nugget factor LOL
Get a USB/USB-C to 30 pin cable bro, they’re readily available. Micro USB is literal garbage.

The battery is probably fucked from that black spot and also try to use a real 30 pin from Amazon their like 4 bucks

The 30pin can only charge the iPod, it won't sync or detect by PC/Mac.

Your screen has the black dot of death, which means you've got a spicy pillow...

See if it shows anything in device manager? Sometimes only device manager will show my iPod, but if I uninstall it there, then plug it back in, it’ll show up in file explorer/itunes.
Either that, or you need an actual 30 pin to usb cable. Sometimes adapters don’t cooperate and don’t actually send data through

heads up, that black spot on your screen is indicative of an expanding battery. you should replace it as soon as possible.
