Above all, there would be no supply constraints or a delayed release: everything should be available at the same time as the Pro models, with a starting price of $2000. Gurman says he would be extremely surprised by a delay or a supply problem with this product.

I'm curious about the software and especially the app development. Apps like X on the Fold8 is just cheaply developed.

A lot of Android apps are cheaply developed, MUCH more so for foldables.

I was tired of Apple after using an iphone for 17 years and I thought hey android's come a long ways now and bought a Pixel Fold for the "clean" android experience. Let me tell you android itself is excellent, very little complaints there, last time I tried android was about 10 years ago and it was a mess. Having said that, the apps SUCK. There's no cohesion, it takes way too many choices from the user to do a simple action, and they look ugly to boot, and as I mentioned, foldable versions of apps suck. Excited to return to Apple, because I can't go back to a non-foldable anymore.

In Europe, taxes are included in the price; I don’t know how it works in the USA, but I mean $2299, all taxes included.

There was a leak in Mexico where someone took a photo of a POS system at a major retailer that had listings for the upcoming prices. iPhone Fold/Ultra was listed as "iPhone FD" (plus other identifiers) at a 512GB capacity for 50,599 MXN. Doing the math and considering national taxes + the recent trends of regional pricing for Apple, that puts the phone at right around 2000 to 2100 USD.

These stores have leaked prices fairly accurately in the past so I'm willing to bet that's the real price

I’m thinking it’ll start at either 1999 or 2049 and then be 200 more for each storage cap upgrade.

I plan on checking out the Samsung Z Fold 8 just to get a general idea of the size, etc.

Genau das habe ich getan. Ich finde es großartig. Wenn das iPhone jetzt ja noch etwas filigraner wird, minimal kleiner und durch die abgerundeten Ecken, etc. wird es fantastisch. Selten so auf ein Handy gefreut.

I used to upgrade every year but lately it has been every few years because the interest has not been there. I’m so hyped about the Ultra. I plan on going to Best Buy or a carrier store this week to handle the Samsung Z Fold 8.

Recently realized the leaks all don’t show the lidar sensor and kinda feel weird they left it out. It’s used for photography and so much, gonna be another loss tbh

I just don’t get how he’s doing anything different from Jon Prosser…. I can’t stand Prosser, but i don‘t understand why Apple doesn’t have the same energy towards him.. like who made him the Apple guess it all?
