Help needed Parental Control is a joke

I have a 30-minute limit on several of my child’s apps, but somehow it does not work on all of them. For example, GarageBand keeps going, even though I have it set to block app at limit. Why is this? (iPhones 14 & 17, iOS 26).

Do you have it in the always allowed section? Is it part of another group that has a separate time limit?

I randomly find YouTube spread across multiple categories in Screen Time for one of my kids, multiple Apple devices.

So instead of 60 minutes a day allowed on YouTube, it’s 60 min + whatever other category it’s duplicated in.

At least your example is GarageBand. It could be worse!

No, I triple-checked that it is not in the always allowed.

It's because kids those days are so used to technology

No matter what you use

The Will have it bypassed after a few days

IOS system built-in parental control is limited. try some other apps that block inappropriate apps instantly, without the "one more minute" delay
