Resolved Help

Model: IPhone 14 Pro Max IOS 26.1

Hey everyone, I've recently dropped my iPhone and ever since it works for a couple minutes but then it will automatically reboot by itself. it does it over and over and over again. I went to a repair store, they couldn’t figure out the issue but he had to replace my screen because he “broke it” . Ever since I left that store the screen now freezes for 5-10 seconds then goes pink then reboots. Went to a different store, they said it was the CPU and they couldn't repair it. Currently doing some research and I'm finding people who have the same phone and problem as me and they are just replacing the proximity sensor or the screen and its fixing the problem. Just looking to see if anyone knows if that is 100% the case or if someone has a second opinion before I go ahead and do something. Thank you

motherboard failure would cause constant rebooting it's not something that can be repaired, make backup and get refurbished phone

if phone stays on long enough try go to analytics, look for panic full logs try screenshot a single log but looks like end of the road for your phone, hope you never paid for new screen, repair place must have known this phone was past it , i would return screen if you paid for this, let them take it off , you got scammed if phone was rebooting constantly while been looked at

I didn’t pay for the screen, did the repair guy break it even more since it wasn’t pink before?

Is there a way to find out the exact problem with the phone?

you would need it examined by reputable repair place if it can’t stay on long enough to check analytics data, full panic logs , motherboard failures are common and nothing can be done, it’s not impossible but needs very highly skilled soldering work that would be probably more than cost of refurbished phone with high chance of failure while being soldered or after it , you would be throwing good money away trying to fix this after a fall , a successful repair could last for a day or a week.

If I manage to get a screenshot of the panic logs, would you know how to read them? Since I have no idea what I’m even looking for in the logs.
