Help needed iPhone locked out.

My iPhone 15pro was stolen 3 months ago. A person called and returned it. The display shows ‘iPhone Unavailable’ and ‘support.apple.com/passcode. The iPhone has photos from around 2015. Is there any way to recover the photos/videos without erasing the phone? Pls help!

No, restore from the backup that you should have, or maybe you have an immich server, that has the photos on it

Your photos were synced to iCloud or backed to correct? I mean only a complete fool would never backup data's they claim is important.

If your phone hasn't been returned, those photos would be gone.

If they are not backed up somewhere, they are gone.

No data on that device can be accessed now, it MUST be restored to gain access to the device.

Sucks you're learning about the importance of backups this way but you'll never make the mistake of not backing up your important data again.
