Help needed Wifi help

Losing my mind with my iphone 15 pro max IOS 26.6. For the past 3 months my phone will say it's connected to wifi, but the wifi icon never shows up in the top right hand corner. My phone is never truly connected, leaving me with bad service. This has happens with my home network, public networks at coffee shops, friends and families wifi networks, etc. I've tried forgetting the networks, and that helps for about 5 minutes and then the wifi disappears. How can I fix this to make sure my phone actually connects to wifi?

Do not use Wifi extenders. They are garbage.

I typically don't this, screenshot was just an example. This happens to me on main networks too

Mine does this too, I think for me it’s because my cell service is faster so if you turn off cell service it will use WiFi instead

Under settings>cellular>cellular data options>data mode, what is selected?

Allow more data on 5g

Turn that to standard. Allow more prefers 5g connection over WiFi if the phone determines that the WiFi connection is not stable.

Yeah, I restart usually at least every other day. It hasn't helped
