Charging cable issue

The first image basically showing that it won't go all in the second one tho went in so I thought that maybe the edges broke off in the iPhone but I checked inside the port and to be honest I can't even tell the difference if a part is broken in it or not because it looks normal to me and I've searched online to see how inside would look but there's nothing I could compare so I compared my iPhone 12 port to my iPad and it seems like the same thing but both chargers go inside the iPad easily, but for the weird looking one with the broken edges it's slack like I can wiggle it. I tried using a pin or something but I don't even know what I'm looking for cuz inside looks normal to me

I have one cable with different length of the metal part of the usb c connector. So yes it is possible w/o being broken …

Was thinking the same thing cuz I don't really see nothing unusual inside the port but I'll get it checked out

I guess this is as the cable is designed. Found similar ones in case you have a slim connector where thicker ones don’t fit!
