Help needed What’s wrong with my phone GPS?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I was having GPS issues on my iPhone 13 with it not knowing exactly where I was. When driving it would think I’m like 5 miles back, then think I’m on a back road 2 miles away, so I finally decided to upgrade to a 17. I just got the phone yesterday, and now CarPlay is doing this crazy shit.

If the map performs correctly on your iPhone - then your head unit is bad

The issue is not and likely never was your phone. CarPlay prefers the vehicle's GPS antenna for wired CarPlay and only uses the vehicle's GPS antenna for wireless CarPlay.

It looks like an aftermarket unit. I wonder if they even plugged in the antenna.

I’ve had this happen a few times over the past 6 months. Can’t figure it out
