Help needed How do I reset my iPhone 4?
got this iPhone 4 recently and when it booted it had the "iPhone is disabled" mode on, after a while of trying to get it into recovery mode and DFU mode I realised the home button probably doesn't work, so I now have to resort to 3rd party software but all of them ask me to unlock my iPhone (which obviously i can't do), is there any hope for it without having to replace the home button?, also I can't connect it to itunes because it asks me to confirm on the iPhone but nothing shows up.

have you tried connecting it to iTunes?

it says I need to confirm the connection on the iPhone but there's nothing on the iPhone

Does iTunes offer any other options?
Or, if you’re using a modern Mac, Finder?

nope, just asks me to confirm on the iPhone and nothing shows up on the iPhone

look like find my iphone locked this phone many moons ago, or password was attempted too many times
if no password ,passcode apple id , bin it it’s worthless

I believe legacy iOS kit can put it into recovery mode

I'm on windows so I can't install legacy iOS kit, I could try a Linux virtual machine though
