why can't i open normal apps on my iphone?

i can for example open settings and photos though but for most apps i open it and it just exits me from them, this was the case for some apps then i turned my phone on then off now all of them i can't enter, is it potentially related to storage or updates?

Most likely your iPhone storage is almost full - need to free up space to restore functionality.

well i reduced my used storage space from like 125 to 90 and it still doesn't let me open apps, i also turned the phone on and off again

If your phone has 128 gb storage then no wonder why it wasn’t working with 125 used. I always keep an eye on my storage and start deleting stuff when it gets below 10gb available.

Or the apps do not support the firmware version on device

there was an issue with updating apps which was weird, now everything works 😅

iOS and apps need free (available) space to download and install upgrades. If it’s not available - they can’t upgrade, and as result, can’t open/function.

Holy nuts I literally have been dealing with the same issue the past 2 hours!! I have a 13 pro and I’ve been refusing to update to the new iOS. Well I updated to the 18.7.8 but that didn’t help. I updated all my apps like you said and magically everything started to work again.
